That really wasn't as good as I thought it'd be. In fact are they ever gonna do something where you're not expected to know the story first? Seriously.

Spoilers
Spoiler
In no particular order and with maximum prejudice:

Saber just disappearing at the end, no explanation.
They NEVER had the full chant required to summon the reality marble.
Scenes skipped EVERYWHERE. Especially in the first half.
The blood effects were shit. In fact there was some really stupid animation in it too.
SUDDENLY, DOLPHIN! (Well, better than a dragon surely).
Character development PLEASE. This is also why Tsukihime is better. Fuck.
Not all characters got their moment. I loved Berserker's death scene. ILYAAAAAAAAA!
Heaven's Feel > UBW
Stop the freaking jumping around!
[close]

That wasn't even half of the list. All raged out though.

Mana

SUDDENLY, DOLPHIN! (Well, better than a dragon surely).

And both of those scenes were originally from Réalta Nua, the all ages PS2 adaptation, so blame Nasu.

Character development PLEASE.

Good luck trying to stick some character development on a 105 minutes movie base on a VN as long as Fate. They already had to butcher some awesome moments from the fight scenes for everything to fit.

This is also why Tsukihime is better. Fuck.

Tsukihime is better due to it's superior animation, right?

Heaven's Feel > UBW

An Heaven's Feel movie would be better to animate. You just have to cut all the cooking scenes and it suddenly fits on an under 2 hours movie.

I never had such unrealistic expectations about the movie, exactly because it was "a movie" and no one would ever be able to do it right on such a short time, but it was also done by Studio DEEN, known by their QUALITY adaptations.

Ahhh, I sure like UFOTABLE. KnK was delicious.

Mana

Until it got to the last movie, but I didn't read the original novels, so it's probably Nasu's fault.

Jaooooo~

I... liked the UBW movie.

I mean, the first half was shit, but they did the heart of it right and the rest (Including the end fight) is really only decoration.

I do agree that they could have gone over Shirou's broken hero thing in more detail though.

Another thing to add onto my list: What the hell was all that fucking jumping? Don't jump in a fight. You do not jump in a fight. JUMP IN FIGHT. WHAT.

I fight with swords as a hobby, I learnt to let these things slide by if they look cool enough.

Green_Tea

And seriously, Assassin/Seiba fight sucked ass. That should have been the best swordfight, but noooooo.

Less the jumping and more the fact that servants can apparently just outright FLY in the middle of fights and hang in midair, that really got me. I got to Archer unleashing UBW for the first time before I stopped watching atm though, still kind of disappointing overall. I was like "okay, I don't mind if the story bits get glossed over as long as the fights are awesome" but they were missing something still. I really wished they'd have shown the fight between Kuzuki and Saber.

Lol but did you see the way Kuzuki moved? It looked retarded. And they didn't even focus on the main "villain" in the route. There was in fact no focus on anything. Kinda stupid really

#446
UBW movie:

Archer: 'Shirou, I am your future!'

Shirou: 'No that's not true that's impossible!

*pew pew pew*

THE END

And Mr. Moe.Avvy has it correct.

NoSense

I think, that's a fitting summary
Please don't mind me. Most of the time I don't make much sense... and mostly I don't even try to.

Jaooooo~

And they didn't even focus on the main "villain" in the route.

Like being the main villain actually meant anything in the first two routes.

Until Heaven's Feel, Kotomine and Gilgy were just plot devices to further Shirou's relationship with Saber or his own character development.
