Etrian III is sexy. Although the FOE's are looking to be very simple. At least the first stratum I am beating everything.

Just got to the fourth floor with lvl 12 on everyone now. Can't say it's going too smooth though, feels like I'm lacking dps.

If you are into old school dungeon crawlers, defo worth a look. Though it is pretty hardcore, so if you aren't really a patient person, I guess it would be nothing for you.

Just got to the fourth floor with lvl 12 on everyone now. Can't say it's going too smooth though, feels like I'm lacking dps.

Running double Phalanx, then Bow, Prince, Bow.

I've yet to need a monk, the arbalists are great dps, and the phalanx are super tank: one on provoke path, the other on shield path.

Prince went healing/attack, but I think if I just forged elemental weapons he could've gone defence, and that might have been better. Bow, one went for the double skill hit, and the other went elemental damage all route. This team, plus some skill scrolls (second wind for the prince) and a few medica's (for the prince again) can kill everything. I haven't tried the stag yet though (4th floor), but the other FOE's were cleared a floor after I met them. So I guess after I clear up 5th I can go back.

I have a second party of farmers, for farming actually. Good money that, and they're almost perfectly suited for it. Mining, gathering and chopping. Oh and one for exp growth, since they don't see much fighting. That one I might turn into a combat farmer. I'm only level 17 at the moment. Sailing is a really good way to get money by the way. Not really fishing, but the quests and stuff. More items too.

All I know of Etrian Odyssey is that it's painfully hard and you have to make your own maps of dungeons.
