My vote goes to sword wielding chicks...
Be it Katana chicks, Broadsword or Rapier chicks... They seem to have one thing in common.. And that is the 'aura of elegance' that could naturally come from learning the 'ways of the sword'... It shows most obviously in female anime characters, by the way they talk...

As for sword/gun wielding chicks, I don't really remember seeing many anime's that include it. It's just not my kind of thing I guess. Fantasy > thriller.

The fantasy genre has heaps of sword wielding women. I'm surprised you haven't seen many anime that include them.


They don't always have the 'aura of elegance', while most fit that archtype there are some that fit the tomboy, violent brute.

Ah that's true, i've never really been fond of guns either. Bows indeed require great skill. Archery is aesthetically nice to watch as well.

Not really, Archer doesn't even really use a bow 99% of the time.

Oh I meant just gun. Sword wielding chicks are aplenty, from Claymore, to BleaghBleach, to FSN. Oh and let's not forget Kenshin. Bows I don't remember seeing much of. Guns can be done really well though; Misato from Eva? She's pretty awesome.

I care for none of those you've just mentioned. I like dual wield short Katanas. With a little bit of ninja blood and scarves.

I like bows too... But only if the girl is more of a 'support character'... Like.. you know?.. The guy with the sword protecting the girl at the back... And the girl at the back with the bow, launches a barrage of arrows to a faraway enemy...

That kinda scenario rocks.. XDD

Typical ninja girl doesn't dual wield though, nor do they have scarves, and most are cold, but hardly silent.

As for Nanoha, I've liked Fate more than Nanoha the moment she appeared on screen, something about blond twin tails, black ribbons are a plus.
