There are some who said that Squall DIED in FFVIII.
Its just that most of us played through the game without fully understanding it... Some serious mindfuck if i could say so...

I won't even bother reading that, since people who actually play the game and don't turn it off before the ending credits see that there is an epilogue to the story where he is pretty much alive. There isn't anything to interpret from that scene.

Well to be fair, characters are bound to whatever the writer chooses to portray.

I was only making a comparison between protagonists, including Advent Children in my comparison. Neither Squall or Cloud could be called 'sissies', but I found Squall to be the character that matured the most during his journey vs Cloud which happens to be the more popular protagonist among FF fans. Cloud still doubted himself after the events of FFVII and was still reluctant to use his power. Squall may have been apathetic to begin with, but understood his responsibilities far sooner, used his power and brought everything to a close far sooner than Cloud did in his story. Anyway my point is Cloud is more conflicted personality wise than Squall, the end (And having a part of Zack in him shouldn't cause him to be emo).

I was just joking about the fact that all the other ones that let Aeris die are always ignored. And Cloud needed a Bright to slap him twice and turn him into a man right on the beginning of the story while Squall is more of an anti-social than an emo.

Is it (series) worth reading? I never got through the 2nd season of the anime too much repetition... i'm sure it would've gone somewhere, but it was done in such a way that I lost interest really fast, I suppose if I was reading the events it'd be fine since the time consumed is far less then watching 20mins per episode of repeats with subtle differences.

Meh. If I wanted to I could have. But I don't have the energy to keep up this many appearances. I think I'm overstretching myself.

Also, the books are quite nice, if you like reading. The writing style is different in a most fantastic way, considering it's all first person. I like Kyon muchly so that probably contributes. Also the anime covers maybe 3 volumes out of the 9 currently out? and the 10th is coming out late this year.

More events, more Haruhi, more Nagato, more Mikuru. Oh and Kyon's old friend! Won't spoil any more than that. Hurr.

Afterthought: I should probably disclaim; I'm not all those things at once, and I guess most of the time I'll end up not talking if you're not interesting, or our timezone differences will fuck up, or even I'll take a liking to you.

Musaks. I really like Shiina Ringo, and just jazz kinda stuff in general. What about the rest of you? Oh some of the touhou artists are ok too. Miku is a bit too peppy for me; I like dramatic music I guess. Shiina Ringo and Tokyo Jihen, for those who haven't tried them. They're good.
