Yeah, you can't really blame him for that.  It pretty much became manditory to join the Nazi party or Hitler Youth in 1933.  If you didn't, then the party would start investigating you to make sure you weren't an enemy of the state.

blame the politics mana, catholic grew too strong and people kind of manipulate it, and you know everything that are related to politics ended up being shit storm, the catholic's teaching is pretty tame and unnecesarilly "evil" per-se (yes i am a catholic). They bought an almost finished translation project and delayed it's release for 4 years. One of the excuses was that the translation wasn't professional enough and they "translated" it again, which must be the new term for filling it with random memes.
