this version seems to work fine with win 7 x64
thing is, it's only around 500 MB (unlike the links on first page) and it's the standard edition
standard edition = DVD = 500 MB???

Oh, one thing, when installing the english patch, the program files directory should be "Quartett! SE"

also, anyone found an english walkthrough yet?

I used hongfire's upload of the game and that seemed to work fine; the English patch also works with it. The full game is around 750 MB.

I've just installed the CD version, applied the update patch to Standard Edition and the translation patch after that. It's working just fine, so I'll upload it and place links on the first post when it's done. Oh, and I'm running it under XP SP3 with Japanese locale.

Oh, one thing, when installing the english patch, the program files directory should be "Quartett! SE"

The CD version doesn't have any problems like that, I used my usual "C:\Games\(title)" and it detected the folder just fine.

I applied the English patch to above version without a problem and without installing the littlewitch update patch.    I'm running XP service pack 3.

I had problems applying the English patch to the version in the first post, even after running the update patch from littlewitch.   I had downloaded the fileserve links.   I got the "unknown version detected" error message that someone earlier in this thread referenced.   IVXXX's "fixed" English patch will work with the versions from the first post, however.

Question! Is there any need for the "Image.dat" on the second disc? The installation only used the first disc and I ran the game without it asking for it, or is it some kind of resource file that's only used on later scenes?

thanks IVXXX, it works like charm, any voice patch lingering around? the game engine is pretty unique if i must say, in a good way that is, and i adore the bgm

DVD "standard edition" version doesn't even has "Image.dat". Maybe file contains wallpapers, DRM(cd check) or something...

CD version = full CD rip + some unnecessary files. (1.12GB)
DVD version = dummy cut(actually it's not dummy cut, but oh well...) (425MB)

When installed, both versions take up 530-540MB.

I downloaded it off the Filesonic links, couldn't get it to work. Installed fine but for some reason the SE updater wouldn't work. It ran fine but refused to update, even after checking and re-checking the destination folder.

The pre-patched SE from the torrent worked fine though. Install, apply the english patch and you're good to go. No idea why the updater cba'd on the CD version. I say go for the torrent if you can.

XP SP3, japanese locale.
