uh-oh, no wonder it was weird. So the voice script is still being made ?

yes

DarkJP

Thank`s for the upload!

Ive got a feeling that the voice patch ill take less than 3 days [:

orz

Is there, or has there been any sort of walkthrough around?

At the very least, I'd like to find a better explanation of how the hell the battle system works than what the ingame thing showed.

michelous

i have heard the game is pretty much liner

Mana

I've read that there are 3 routes, 2 of them are unlocked after finishing the game, a bunch of optional scenes with most girls and, for some reason, a hard to get harem ending.

It seems like the scripts are done and now we have to wait for the original guy to compile and test it. I expect tweaks to fix any errors, since he did say that originally he got about 80% working on his fixes before the anons worked on the scripts. glad to see the anons working fast on this voice patch :)

there are 4 endings but more routes
Sei, Sui, Shion, and each faction have their own routes with no ends it is kinda like rance of a few endings but multiple routes
i am not sure if getting with any girls but the main 3 can lead to one of their endings or the harem ending

I'm also wondering about getting more information on how the battle system works, because, really, the in-game explanation didn't help.

Right click when in battle and you can see what formations do what and beat what. It's just like rock paper scissors. Also the battles are scripted therefore never change so if you know what they're going to do it's incredibly easy, even if you don't you should catch on after the first few turns.

Mana

If they are this lost, I wonder what would happen if they played a Romance of the Three Kingdoms title.

orz

I'll have to rephrase what I'm trying to say, since people seem to have missed it twice.

The "Rock-Paper-Scissors" only kind of makes sense, since you also apparently have to pick the right units (light, heavy, or archers) to use while in the formation.

I was fighting against Ganryou and Bunchou (I think.  It was the Enshou generals) and I'd pick the correct counterpick to their current formation, but rushing in light or heavy (what was supposedly +defense or +attack in the counterpick) kept getting me 1:1 casualty ratios, i.e. I'd lose like 500 and they'd lose 500.  This was terrible because they had like twice my troops to begin with, so I seriously couldn't figure out what the hell I was supposed to do.

What I had to end up doing was to just keep using bows in the correct counterpick, but they had superlow killing and superlow casualties, like 20 deaths and 30 kills.  I ended up just holding Ctrl and kept whittling the other generals down mainly with Bachou's Ougi.  I ended up finishing the fight after like 70 days, way longer than all the other fights, and it seemed like it couldn't have been the correct option to use, mostly because I can't always rely on Ougis if I have to use Shuri to counter their Ougi.

How the hell was I *supposed* to do this?  The game doesn't really go into good detail at all how *exactly* the troop balances (between light/heavy/bow) affect your casualties/kills, and the +attack/+defense explanation is really, really vague.

tl;dr - Wait, I can't tl;dr this.

Also I think I tried to play a Three Kingdoms game on the SNES.  Absolutely no explanation of what things did, combined with not being in English means I didn't really do much with it. :d

Blago

Thanks for the upload, I couldn't wait for the voice patch in the end :/

Seriously, I don't understand why so many people has trouble with the battles, it can't be easier than actually is, come on, first battle on the trial, take a look at the formation explanation and I didn't have anymore doubts in that regard. In the that battle against Enshou, 20k vs 30k I think it was, you just have to beat 15k of them before turn 10, which is pretty easy, really.

Unofficial voice patch.

Download this and extract it into your koihime folder:
http://www.mediafire.com/?i9dlrqg3hkk51ai

2. Replace the SoundPackSEVo and SoundPackSEVo.lst in your koihime folder with the one from the Japanese game.

3. Start the game and enjoy the voices.

Also, buy the game if you haven't already. It'd be great if they could really sell 2000 copies.

The tools I used:
Strip SNX files from bytecode and reformat: http://privatepaste.com/521fcfa3e9
Make SNX files from .japan, .english and original english script-file: http://privatepaste.com/b662b6e011

It's kinda messy, I know. Good luck figuring out what I'm doing there.

Thanks to anon on /jp

can i have SoundPackSEVo and SoundPackSEVo.lst from the japanese version

Mana

Before people go into PARTY HARD, only three routes and the harem ending are entirely voiced. 15 of the 207 scripts of the game didn't work, some of them weren't even modified, so the patch creator doesn't know what's breaking them. He doesn't have the patience to do a v2, but anyone is free to try it.

SoundPackSEVo is already on the first post.
