We were debating the other day about how Tsukihime and Fate were longer than The Lord of the Rings and, I've just found this gem about Super Robot Wars Alpha's translation project:

Antialias did some calculations; Alpha apparently has as many words in it as 1.56 copies of War and Peace.

We were debating the other day about how Tsukihime and Fate were longer than The Lord of the Rings

would it be better to compare Fate length to all the Harry Potter books combined then The Lord of the Rings?

If I wanted to go that way, I would've just picked up the entire Dune saga or anything even longer than that, so no.

The Lord of the Rings was written as a single book and was only divided into three parts due to the publishers not wanting to release something so massive. Fate and Tsukihime were also written and released as a whole, so it's dumb to compare them to an entire saga when they are obviously single volumes.
