Already includes the unprotected EXE for Moero 2 so that's been taken care without needing any other files.

Again I think that's all to it, the archive is largely unaltered and I'd recommend removing the setup exe and just copying the files where you want it and start the exe directly. (Same with Raidy 2 minus the need to apply the unprotected exe file as it's already there.).

Megaupload seems to be undergoing maintenance so not all servers are available which results in some archives being temporarily unavailable, I'll check up on it tomorrow to see so that everything is OK as it's getting rather late here but atleast it's all uploaded and should be available shortly.

This is actually quite a long game.. must of took me about 15 hours to go through Rinka's story.. now almost 4am in the morning.. Hers was easy no walk through needed..  Was well worth the wait.. great game.

Moero 1 was short, played through it in 1 night

the 3rd game is a direct sequel to 2 and it lets you race

first of all, i´d like to thank you for sharing Moero (and all other games on Kureha One ^^)
but i´ve got a little problem, I loaded Moero2 (torrent AND MU) but as soon i started the game, the Intro Movie and all other video scenes...jerk...(can I say this?...i´m sorry but my school englisch is years ago^^) really heavy. Anyone a idea? :(

Intro and movies depend on your video codecs, I suggest that you uninstall your video codecs and install CCCP, then your videos should decode properly.

I have CCCP installed.
When I open the "Opening" file with MPC it plays normally and also the other files. Only if I start the "Moero_Downhill_Night_2.exe" it cause problems.

Edit: Oh...something new -.- if I move the mouse while the intro is playing it´s normal, but as soon as I stop the mouse its a slide show again...wtf >.>

I'm too lazy to go into a discussion/argument about the redundancy and bloatedness of players/codecs.
Anyways, I know for sure that the 5-21-2010 build of CCCP works on a system void of other codecs.

You can use the Insurgent to help troubleshoot scan for conflicts and redundancy.

Moero 2 DOESN'T use external codecs. Videos lag because of multicore issue/incompatibility. CTRL+ALT+DEL -> moero2.exe -> set affinity -> leave only 1 core checked.

IVXXX, you save my day (and serveral hours with Moero2^^) works perfekly with only 1 core...thank you very much.

it's a beta build, but it's been pretty stable as they haven't had to do another beta build I fixes and improves windows 7 compatibility

btw guys, those who don't want to see through the OP movie, just press esc button, it skips straight to the menu.

Interesting i have no lag at all and using an AMD x4 955 which is a 4 core and no lag in video at all.. so interesting some have to go to single core.

They didn't do a very good job of hiding the Komachi route...it was pretty obvious she was going to be a hidden heroine from the start considering how often she pops up.

Hey guys, thanks for the MDN2 torrent.  Now, like I did with the first game, I cracked open the script container and began rooting out all the fake wacky names they put in for the cars and replace them with the proper ones.  I also assigned new BGM to some scenes as well.  
I took the liberty of uploading a package containing both of these, so you can enjoy them as well.  Please do note that I've only started on the editing a few days ago, and due to the way the routes are layed out, I actually have to pretty much edit the script in another window as I play, and then updating the container after I've quit it.

As far as I know, the only scripts that I'm 100% sure have been edited are the main story scripts up to the end of chapter 6, the battle scripts, as well as Komachi's scripts.  Most of the character scripts haven't been edited since I'm focusing on Rinka's route right now.  The system.pkd file goes into the game's main directory.  Just overwrite it when asked.

For the BGM, you must at least put all the bgm not in the "D2_bgmxx.ogg" format into the BGM folder.  Otherwise you'll hear silence where you should be hearing music.

Also included are a list of the real car name and their fake name equivalent.  Use this to check if I've actually missed something.

I will have to use that when I actually play it. I don't know about your new music choices, but the real car names is a nice touch for someone who wouldn't be able to recognize most of them, like me. Thanks!

Here's just the script changes.

Just a word of warning though.  Without some of the BGM I provided (eg. Any BGM not named like the others), you will get silence instead of music.

So at the risk of spoilers, let me explain what BGM gets played when.

Arcade:  Originally, both the scene at the very beginning of the game (at the arcade) and all the races until chapter 6 use D2_bgm11, but since I wanted to use a custom one, I renamed the original because one of the long sfx files in the arcade has this track playing in the background.

Awakening:  This gets played in place of D2_bgm15 during the second half of the race against the S15 Silvia.  I had something appropriate for the scene, but I didn't want to use it as the second race BGM for races starting in chapter 6.

86_sanjou:  This gets played in chapter 3 during the AE86's intro video.


Showroom:  This one's for a Rinka character event that you can get as early as chapter 5.

(Anything with Hakosuka on it):  These 3 BGM are for chapter 5.  If you don't have "Hakosuka_Battle" in the diretory, then you won't be getting music for the race in that chapter.

Those who follow the MDN thread on the JASTUSA forums will most likely have seen my rants (as "HashiriyaGDB") on the mistakes and idiot moment they made and had during the localization.

I really like the OP music. It fits somehow. Yes the mistakes are kinda ridiculous and at first I thought they were done on purpose (to prevent copyright...like they do with McDonalds in anime and games...or burger queen) but I'm not so sure anymore. If this is really just a bunch of failure at translating I could understand. However the missing script and music is rather annoying.  Very useful to know where they got lazy in the translating of the game.

Thanks for the comments so far.  If you're using it, please be sure to send me feedback if possible, plus another clerical errors that appear because I missed them.  Also I need to guys to keep a look out on a possible "find and replace" error.

Okay, so they changed Toyota to Toda.

What I did in the scripts was find Toda and replace with Toyota, matching case.  The problem is that it may have also replaced the Toda of "Today" and turned that into "Toyotay".  I'm going through all the relevant script right now and doing a "Toyotay -> Today" replacement, but if you come across such an error, note down where you saw this when you send the feedback.

He's definitely a more interesting character than Shou.  Plus, he seems to know what he's talking about.  I actually got through the races without the need for a walkthrough whatsoever because I kept whatever knowledge he had shared in previous chapters.

I tried the first one but it was a bit.... naff i got about halfway through and got a bit bored, i enjoyed the intial D style cutscenes but that was it, but I thought id give this one a spin, and im glad i did its alot better.... especialy on allowing you to really choose the girl you like the most, one thing to note though it really gets me how your always a navigator, I mean just for once I want the guy to take the controls and show those men/women whos the boss himself, It just feels lame yelling ACCERATE ON THE STRAIT to a pair of melons clutching a wheel.

Sounds like you'll love the third game, as I've heard you can take the wheel, and it's a sequel to this one.

when you say sequel do you mean direct sequel as in same man guy, since the first game had a completely unrelated guy to this one (and il be honest the one in the second game is alot better than that forgetfull idiot) becouse iv kinda grown a liking to the loser in this one :P at least he knows how to treat a girl right.... "hey you like me and your incredibly shy and where outdoors..... LETS HAVE SEX" yeah.... iv had a fair few lols from this game to say the least.... and there all unintentional from what iv seen.

Blaze is a direct sequel to MD2. Main character from this game is the main character in MDB but, he switches from being a navigator to racing as the driver.

liked komachi the most. she was just too funny. too bad no real scenes/ending with her or her secret identity

This is great so far, I was/am hoping for some mdn 1 cameos.

I don't think I've seen any actual cameos, but one of the rival racers mentions getting his butt kicked by one of the heroines from the original game iirc

I haven't seen that about someone getting a butt-kicking, but after you play through once, an extra chapter opens up. Won't spoil it for the folks who didn't get there yet, but that chapter makes a strong connection with someone from the first game.

Before the english version came out I tried the japanese version but got disappointed with the music and stopped playing halfway. For me personally I did not known any of the new BGM you've changed, and it makes my blood boil with every car battle this time. Don't know what's gonna happen if it's someone who already knows these BGM beforehand though.
