This is technically Kureha One's second release! Thanks to Angelus for contributing the game, and /jp/ for mirrors and crack.

In a certain complex of ruins, two gates have opened.
On the other side lie the world of the Gods and the world of the Devils.
These three worlds are now connected, and this causes a big change in society.

This story is set in a certain city located in a certain country.
A certain boy lives in this city. One day, two new families move into the houses neighboring his. The new residents turn out to be the King of the Gods and the King of the Devils. Both of them have moved in next to the boy's house by request of their respective daughters, who fell in love with him at an early age.

Many years ago, when the boy was still a child, he had a chance encounter with each of the girls. Their meeting was brief at best, but the girls took it to heart and kept the memory alive until this day.

The stage is set for a story that involves the boy's childhood friend as well as others around him. It is a tale of hardship and despair, but also one of faint hope. It is a tale of a boy who, to quote his cynical friend, is capable of becoming either God, Devil or Man.

Weird... I tried seeding the file i downloaded via mediafire....

but my torrent client deemed these files in my pc to be different to the one in the torrent:

and i only got " BGI.exe", while the torrent has "BGI.exe.old" and "BGI.gdb"

does the anon who upload the torrent made some alteration, or is it just my client or the tracker went walkies....

the bgi.exe.old is just bgi.exe with .old added to it
the BGI.gdb is something that is created when you run the game.

is it safe to delete the "BGI.exe.old" file?  Do you still need that file or not since the hack and fonthack has been included with the torrent?

you can delete it, I just kept it in there for completeness sake and for people who want to experiment on making their own cracks.

Hehe, i'm using NOD32 antivir and ironically BGI.EXE (mangagamer drm) is detected as malware, while the crack is good.  ;D

I pointed it out in the first post that the DRM that mangagamer is identified as a trojan by many virus scanners. The crack is just the original exe without the DRM behavior.

in the readme.txt: Copy consolas.ttf into %WinDir%\Fonts.
is windir means like C:windows\fonts and i just copy paste consolas.ttf into the font folder?

I just downloaded the files from the mediafire mirror,then I extracted the files.I cant open the .arc file extension whatever i do.I have WinRAR 3.90 and it cant open the files i tried FreeArc and 7Zip too.Can you tell me how can i open it?

I don't think you need to extract the .arc, it is the game file, just try to run the .exe?

Like what poporaaa said after you extracted the files from the 10 part rars double click on the shuffle.exe to play

However, I can't play the game - I've installed the files to /WINDOWS/Fonts and to the Shuffle! Main Directory ( F:/Comics/Navel Shuffle)

I also changed the Locale for Non-Unicode Applications to Japanese.
But when I start the game, it crashes immediately with an error about sysprg.arc : environ._bp
Sadly, I can't give more information - the rest of the error message is in Japanese.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

Never mind, figured it out already. It's due to the anti-virus' web protection or something that I can't download the first part. The file which anti-viruses mistake for a virus is located in it and, thus , causing the problem.

Anyone else having trouble with the voices. When I star I can hear everybody, but as soon as the opening ends and Kaede wakes Rin up, I can't hear any voices.

If I restart the game I can't even hear Itsuki or the King of Demons anymore.

Any help would be great.

Well since mangagamer is now working with Navel we might see more of the shuffle franchise if it sells well.

Manga Gamer did a great job translating this game. I got 0 bugs at all and translation is solid. I only counted about less than 10 broken English throughout the whole game.

Support MangaGamer if you can. They do a great job : ) I hope they can continue doing what they do best.

If the original and it's sequels sell well (since they will start releasing fandiscs and other stuff for their other titles, there is a high possibility that they will release Tick! Tack! and Really? Really!), there isn't any reason to not release it. I just wonder if the people that actually payed for Shuffle! will have some kind of discount for buying the same VN with several extra routes.

It seems that something went terribly wrong and it will be pushed back to the end of December.

From MangaGamer's forums: "One person translated, one person edited...of some of the worse lines in the script, if I only had these choice lines to go off of I'd say both barely know English.

At least, it seems that someone over there is giving importance to the quality of the translations. So, officially, Higurashi is the next one that will be released.

Unfortunately, it seems that the problem with Soul Link isn't the translation itself, but censorship, since the translator commented about the fact that it was pushed back. We are waiting for an official confirmation, but what's been said on /jp/ was this:

I have copied the consolas.ttf to font's folder but in game I cant see any texts  :-[. This is picture:

Even while using the Japanese locale the font is fine for me, so you did something wrong, that or your Windows is failing you. Are you sure that everything is in it's proper place?

did any of you guys manage to run this game under Win 7 64Bit? Whenever I run the exe the game window pops up remains black for a couple secs and then crashes :(
The same goes for KiraKira; both using BGI.
When I run the games under my XP VM they run fine.
Any suggestions?

Edit: I tried Edelweiss, too. It looks like I have a problem with Buriko General Interpreter in general... All of the games using bgi wont start but Saya no Uta for example works perfectly fine.

I have a problem I can't seem to solve, no matter what I do.  I downloaded the game, everything is in the same folder, I have the fonthack and crack, but my game screen turns black, plays the bgm for the end of day one, and I can't click anything right after day 1 ends and Rin says "The magical season is coming soon" or something like that.  Can anyone recommend a solution please?

Uh. i seem to be having some issues with the files i downloaded from mediafire. all the files in the parts are of the same name so when i extract they ask if i want to replace them? what do i do? do i replace them or rename them or what? not too sure how to do this :(

You should only extract "Shuf-Navel.part01.rar". If you have all other parts on the same folder, it will extract everything from them since they are a set.

Finally another source for these games, my 'normal' torrentsource kinda died on me.
Just downloaded the most popular games(by view) and this is the first one I will try.

Well, you don't SEE her do it, but you do get the gist of how bad she treated Rin after her mom died. Other than that several of the basic, general plot points of the anime do follow the game. The series was organized with new or changed material to let the storyline flow through encounters with all the girls. (Too bad the vn didn't let us have fun with more of them, but there's always hope for a translation of Shuffle! Essence+, as well as the other two follow-ups)

But Rin talks about his scars and that there was an incident with a boxcutter. Now, Kaede going mad is what's original on the anime.

if only they included some Ama scenes for Asa's route, some lovely mother/daughter action...

And if they included a route for Ama? Not even Essence+ fixed that flaw.

il be honest I thought the anime was great, although they need to remake it with essence+ out now.... also the second season apart from one episode was really just a recap, on a per character basis.

one thing I heard about essence+ alot of the new routes aprently feel taked on aka, they show up for one new scene and if you dont choose them from there they never show up again.

There are several new scenes and choices in Essence+. Among those new scenes, you are introduced to those characters and, just like on the original, if you don't choose the right things, you'll end on another route and, if you remember the original routes, there was barely anything related to the other girls on them, save for a few scenes with the entire group, so it's nothing that they haven't done before.

i dont see how an Asa route would be any diffrent from the normal "older woman" or "sensei" route in other adult game... she looks incredibly young for a mother.... and if shes not well.... its not like shes not legal like some of the other chracters apear....

Her age is never stated, but everyone makes jokes that they want to know her secret for eternal youth. It could be an aftereffect of the experiment done on her, but they never develop it any further.

Ama herself isn't quite the problem... it's the fact she's Asa's mom that really gets to me O.O ... since the anime, Asa's route has always been most memorable for me... the double personality of the other two confuses me if I review the game, lol... but going after Asa's mom seems like appropriate territory O.O... your sempai's single mom should be off limits since the main would make a fail dad.

Could someone upload a complete save?
I finished the game forever ago but deleted it. Now I just want the h-scenes. I Google'd around but couldn't find any compatible with Mangagamer's version.

EDIT: It seems the complete save I found breaks the voices, could someone upload their so I can try with that instead?

I decided to just skip through the game and unlock everything, but the voices stopped working after the OP and after that they stopped working completely.
I tried exchanging the data04000.arc file but it didn't help. Anyone got any suggestions or could actually upload their copy of the game that already is cleared?

It might be possible.  Kouryuu did say that Shuffle was by far their biggest seller...though it still is a pretty optimistic viewpoint.  All I can do is hope :)

He also said that Navel demanded more sales before they let go of any other of their licenses.

Unfortunately it is not available in english. I would like to see Benibara's, Kareha and Mayumi routes but I doubt that I will be able to do it any time soon.

Shuffle Essence is probably one of the, if not the most, requested game to be translated on Mangagamer's forum, so I think Mangagamer would like to translate it.  However, Navel was not happy with the sales of Soul Link (especially) and Shuffle, so its Navel that are ones blocking the translation.

Da Capo Plus Communication (I and II) is another highly requested translation on the forum, but there seems to be an equal amount of nay sayers as well.  Interestingly enough, Shuffle Essence doesn't seem to have any nay sayers at all and everyone supports the title.

Sounds like they're lacking in alpha/beta-testers and that it was rushed.

And don't forget that they are porting the entire thing to Java.

They claim that their programmer only accepted working on it if he was given the freedom to do whatever he wanted with the engine, since he wants to apply to a certain company.

Until someone tell me that there is an actual point beside personal gains in porting this.. they're staying as complete retards to me.

Also, it seems more like the programmer is gonna be torturing himself without any particularly good reason to me.
Learning how something work sounds good enough to me, but to rewrite it completely is a different matter.

Eh, I couldn't really get into the story, and something subtle about the artwork put me off slightly.
Maybe I will try getting into it when my mood's slightly better.

Contents: Corrects a few errors encountered when displaying in-game CG through the CG Viewer Mode.
Installation: Please extract the contents of the .zip file to the folder you installed your copy of the game to, overwriting the existing files of the same name.
*You will be able to continue use of Save Data made prior to application of this patch.

I assume the patch above is compatible with the torrent version?

Edit; After testing, it doesn't seem so...

Extracting/overwriting the files from the patch makes it not start at all. Without patch, no problem running.

Edit2; anyone else notice the amount of hashfails on a few bits in the torrent? Someone poisoning it intentionally?

Edit3: After tinkering with different combinations, it seems the update patch is incompatible with the font hack, ie if you copy ipl._bp into the main game folder, the game won't start at all...
Meaning the torrent does work with the patch, as long as you keep ipl._bp tucked away in its folder...

It was more requested than Tick Tack, but MG works in weird ways.

+1, this would really be better to have the essence+ before anything else, but we don't really have a choice ^^'.

The 11/12 patch is only for mistakes, but nothing really important (you can understand 100% of the story without it... that's what we all did actually xD). But if someone have it, I won't refuse it =D.

Just to say that I got the update directly from the support. The only problem is the .exe file that require authentication. I don't know if this file is the same as the original one (guess it's not), so it might need to be cracked (anyone asking /jp/ ?).

Didn't test it yet, will certainly do it tonight (gmt+2).
