Played this like a year ago but i have to say this is a very good visual novel. The story is quite captivating and interesting with a lot of action and some suspense. Favorite route UBW!

I feel a bit stupid for asking, but ill probably regret not asking. The Realta Nau PC patch, does it turn the PC version into basically the PS2 version(no H scenes, rewritten/added scenes, etc), or does it just add in the rewritten scenes?

From what I remember from playing it a long time ago, it basicly installed the pc version, than ripped the voices of the ps2 game.
So you had the full pc game, with voices ( apart from h-scenes ofc ).

Yes. Realta Nua patch contains new CG's and rewritten scenes. But no voice. Voice not included in this patch.

Yes Uncensor exist. Try Hongfire or similar portals. Size of uncensor ~20 Mb. I upload uncensor along with voice patch.

Mirrormoon:
100% English patch, also included an option to install Realta Nua's voices if you have the PS2 DVD

Waku Waku:
Realta Nua patch (Realta Nua CG Patch), added extra CGs, scenes, and updated CGs for some scenes from the Realta Nua version to the PC version.  Added Last Episode Extra, changed title screen background, etc.  Latest patch is v4.2

Non-ero patch is in the works by Waku Waku too, but nothing has been released thus far.

Thanks for the voice patch and uncensor patch, I added then in the first post.

The last thing that I read about it was that TakaJun translated the non-H scenes of the PS2 version for Waku Waku, around February of this year.

Looks like the absence of patch4.xps makes the voice patch pretty much not work. Anyone happen to have a copy of it to upload?

Edit: It looks like you can just use the installer if you point it to the Fate directory it does the rest. Might want to append a link to the patch to the OP for convenience sake.

Doesn't the readme just say re-name them so the patch#.xp3's are in ascending order or something? I used the ones up there and got it working.

Yea i have to agree with that most read me's are like that. However every now and then the read me's are useful although a bit rare nowadays.

Selective reading is always useful in those cases. "Where are the installation notes? There aren't any or they are telling me how to install it with instructions like "click Next". Close the readme!"

lol but yeah theres alot of characters in hollow and im sure as hell romancing caster first.... what I like about hollow is it take a leaf outa the older dating sims with the gradual buildup via visiting the girl on a day to day basis with major events inbetween, whilst fate/stay was great plot wise you where never really given the option of what girl to go after unlike Tuskihime.

Hi, got a few questions regarding this VN & a general question:

1) Is the saves in the Réalta Nua Patch required when using the patch?
2) If I'm correct, the order to patching the VN is English TL Patch -> Voice Patch -> Uncensor Patch -> Réalta Nua Patch -> Réalta Nua Fix
3) Are all the patches final?
4) Does everyone that played Fate/stay night here use all the patch, or do they selectively apply them?
5) No Install is preferred over a package that requires installation?

There will be a future update for the Réalta Nua patch that will give the possibility to replace the H scenes with the all ages scenes used on the PS2 version. Other than that, they are complete.

I used all the other patches and only started using the Réalta Nua patch after I was on the middle of Heaven's Feel. Everything worked fine despite of that.

Fate/Stay Night has really awesome music. I sometimes start up the game just to listen to the music on the title screen play since it's probably my favorite track.

The patches are just files named "patch.xp3", "patch2.xp3, "patch3.xp3", etc. If one of their names conflicts with a previous patch, you just add the next number to the filename.

I'm having some trouble with getting the game to recognize the patches. I've extracted them to the Fate/Stay Night folder but I'm confused about what to do from there. I understand I'm supposed to rename the number in the patch files, but I'm not sure exactly what patch should be what number and nothing I'm trying seems to work. Also, is there a way to tell if the Réalta Nua patch is being recognized or not?

Any help would be appreciated.

1: read readme provided. FSN ones actually help
2: extract all xp3's. Do not overwrite any files
3: rename them patch1.xp3, patch2.xp3 making sure not to skip any numbers
Do this in the order from lowest to highest (say if you have xp3's 1, 2, 3, 5, 7. you'd go 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)

The order that they were posted can and should be the one used to rename the patch files.

Regarding Réalta Nua, you only notice the difference if you have previously played the VN or if you have already completed Fate, UBW and Heaven's Feel. The title screen will change and there won't be any background music.

For some reason I can only get the voices to work if I also use the patch files posted by tflops on page 2. Regardless, everything seems to be working now.

I haven't used the voice patch provided on the first post, since I have my own, but I will test that one and will change the post if it really needs that other patch that you mentioned.

I'm pretty sure mine works, and with voice patches provided on first post too. But I didn't use the FSN provided on the first post, I have my pre-downloaded iso.

I've just tested and the pre-installed game that's on the first post is definitely missing the needed files for the voice patch to work. Once I used tflops' files, everything started working. The Réalta Nua patch is also working fine with this installation.

Morale of the story: Don't download pre-installed works. I'll try to upload my .iso tonight or something.

if you're seeing the UBW background at the title screen, you're not supposed to have sound in the title screen.

However, if you see the grass field background at the title screen, sound is supposed to be there.

The condition to get to the grass field background is beating all three routes, which unlocks the last episode, and going through the last episode..(not sure about getting the stamps, but hell, who doesn't? XD)

No, I don't think I see the Realta Nua background at the title screen. it's the just normal dark sky.

What save are you using? A new one or your old one where you actually finished all the routes? To notice any difference on the title screen, you have the finish all of them.

well, check these:
1.  Make sure you're using the right version.  There's a patch for unvoiced version and a patch for voiced version depending on which you're playing.
2.  You have to rename the patches such that it continues from the last patch (which is most likely the english patch/voice patch, unless you've installed the uncensor patch)
3.  If you've beaten all three endings, play through the Last Episode.

Oh well that'd be why. I thought some things seemed a little different. And I follow instructions to the T, so I'll play through and see.

Voice Patch question: Where does patch7.xp3 come from?

I did a clean install with the F/SN DVD and using MM's patch ripped the voices from the PS2 F/SN game.  My directory did not have patch7.xp3... the patches ended at patch6.xp3.

Yet the voice patch fix by tflops has patch7.xp3.

I still need to do the uncensor and RN 4.2 patches...

The exact number doesn't matter. That's why they don't tell you to rename them an exact patch number, but rather the the "latest" one.

Altogether my patches only go from Patch.xp3 to patch9.xp3 and that includes everything up to the RN fix.

can someone help me? i put in the patches (well the voice patch i had to dl it from somewhere else because for some reason i cant dl all the voice parts in megaupload because it seems to stop dling all of a sudden on some of the parts and the time goes up) and when i put in the 6 patches from the voice patch whenever i start the game theres this error that pops up in japanese with a blue box with a lot of information in it. whenever i dont put in the voice parts and i put in the the other ones the game works fine.. although i dont know whether the uncensor or the RN works cause i havent gotten that far in the game. i also put the patches in the order of how reyfus put the links in and i also numbered them like the readme said. anyways right now i guess ill try to redownload the voice patch in megaupload. I hope someone will find out what i did wrong and tell me how to fix it because even though i dont exactly need the voice it just annoys me a lil bit when im missing something. srry about how long this post is

there shouldn't be six patches from the voice patch....
Like above post said, the game plus mirrormoon patch should give:
patch.xp3 to patch6.xp3
the voice patch should be patch7.xp3
uncensor patch is patch8.xp3
RN patch is patch9.xp3
whatever else is patch10.xp3

hm... i dont get it though cause i dled the extracted the game from the zip files given on the first post and it only gave me up to patch 3. and then i dled the english patch on the mirrormoon site and yea nothing really changed cept it replaced some of the files. also i managed to dl the voice patch on the megaupload that was given on the first post and that gave voice patch 5 and 6 and then i dled the voice patch fix and that gave me 4 and 7 so i just put them togethor like that in the main directory and then i extracted the uncensor and put it as patch8 and did the same with the rn patch and the novoice patch to 9 and 10 but then when i started the game it went all the way up to the first pic of shiro and saber and then some error popped up in japanese. i also dled the rn fix and replaced the novoice i dont know what i am doing wrong. and srry bout this im just not very computer literate. also if u have the time could u go step by step on what to do if u feel like it cause yea i always have problems like these.  :-\

I have the install version, but probably your problem is,
"the voice patch fix and that gave me 4 and 7"
it's likely that the voice patch fix should be next to each other...
I would rename 5 and 6 to 4 and 5.
then, rename 4 to 6

Also, you don't use the "novoice" patch...that's only if you're playing without voices....

match up the patch.xp3 files in terms of file size with yours...

when i changed the names there was another error that popped up but that was right when the game started and then i looked at your directory and it seems that the amount of kilobytes of the patches are different then what yours are... at least some of them are.. im guessing that makes a big difference?

yea, mine is with the latest mirrormoon patch, the latest waku waku patch, realta voice patch, and an uncensor patch.
They've been tested start to finish with no problems....Give me a screenshot of your directory with the file sizes

The blue box error is, from experiences, a locale error. Lilith games have that error when you don't install/run via applocale or in japanese locale.

@justinefremlouw yea it has 45 files..(well 42 right now since i just took out some so i could at least play without voice lol). im not sure if im on the japanese unicode but i am on the japanese locale if thats means anything. argh.. why the heck is this so confusing.. i wish it was as simple as some of the other games that i played.. like eien no aselia and tears to tiara where i had to just drag the files into the directory T_T...

Then again, I've installed the game on an XP and a win 7 machine with no problems.  It's really just "drag the files into the directory too"...

as Green_Tea have said, as far as I know, blue box error is locale error.
other than that, it's probably that your copy of the game or of the voice files are corrupt.

I know how you feel, because the same thing happened to me.  However, if you only wanted to play UBW, then all you need to do is skip through the text on the Fate path.  It would only take a few minutes.

Like Koutou said. Would be faster to either skip all through or simply type on google "Fate/Stay Night Complete Save" and usually the first or second links are the right ones.
Much faster than waiting for someone to upload a save or do it for you.

and it's the reversal the original version is from pc with no voices.
