Hi, happen to find this thread and I want to say that if there is any way to help you to relocate all the novels I can help. Maybe we can store them in a Google Drive (which gives 15 GB) or maybe in several BOX, it gives you 10 GB in the free account, I have had one for several years and it has not given me any problems, I even stopped using it for a couple of years, and when I restored the password I found all, and I mean ALL, my files without problems.

I don't know how safe MediaFire is to store this material, I have bookmarks from several years ago and they still work with the volumes of the novels available. The problem with MEGA (especially MEGA) is the witch hunts to get accounts deleted.

So if I can help you just let me know.

@ Prothean - Not sure if you realise this but this collection of LN's the OP has uploaded is just a rip of a collection that is posted and regularly updated on a popular and well known (for anime) torrent site. The OP also hasn't been online for over a year, and the download links in the OP are defunct (which were also ripped from the torrent uploader), so not sure they'll see your message anyway.

But if you want to help with storing or backing up this project then I recommend you track down this torrent on said well known torrent site (search for "Officially Translated Light Novels") and leave a message for the person actually maintaining this collection. That being the person who uploads and updates the torrent. No idea if they need any storage help or whatever, but I doubt offering your help here is going to do anything, since they're almost certain not to see it.

(can't link to the torrent site as it's probably against the "links to other website sharing should not be posted here" rule).

Main torrent link claims that it doesn't exist anymore.@ blackkat - From what I know the torrent uploader deletes the torrents for the previous version of this database when they upload a new base version. Which is why the torrent in the OP no longer exists ie.: because it is several versions out of date.

Magnet link works to a version v17.0 that is 58.85 GB in size.Magnet links are different to torrent links and are generally more likely to be alive. But your torrent client loading the magnet link doesn't mean there are any seeders to download from (Google is your friend if you want to know more, as there are dozens of internet sites that explain the difference, and torrenting tech in general, far better than I ever could).

Is that the most recent update of the torrent?No, this one is well out of date. The current version is v20.4 (1st October 2023), with the base database (v20.0) being 93.3GB, and 4 updates ranging from 1-2.5GB. The uploader usually updates the database around the start of every month.

Looks like:

- v20.0 (93.3 GB)
- v20.1 (1014.7 MB)
- v20.2 (2.3 GB)
- v20.3 (2.6 GB)
- v20.4 (1.8 GB)

So you'd need to download all 5 of those, as each of the decimal versions are additions to the original....
So just over 100 GB if downloading them all.

@ blackkat - Yep, those are the ones. There's also a regular commenter who keeps track of the missing volumes, updated versions for specific volumes, and changes between database versions et cetera. Which is worth checking if any particular LN you're looking for isn't in the database. And for checking if any volumes of your favourite series have been updated.
