This story takes place in alternate future of Shanghai where money and power ruled the city. Mafia groups hired Kung Fu masters and dominated in society.
There are two types of Kung Fu masters, those who mastered their internal Chii, and those who mastered their physical skills. The Chii masters are able to output a stronger energy coming from their life itself, but it took a long time to master it. It was easier to just train their physical skills, but there was a limit to how strong a human body can be. So there were a balance of many average physical skill masters and few strong Chii masters. However that balance broke when cybernetics came into play. Kung Fu masters would replace their body with robotic parts and attain a strength that a normal human can never achieve. That's how no one tried to become Chii masters anymore when they can easily become powerful by using cybernetics, and Chii masters decreased in numbers.
The main character of the story Kong Taoluo used to be a loyal assassin of the mafia group, but one day his sister was raped by his friend Liu Haojun and his companions, then they had her undergo an operation. Taoluo was also rumored to be killed, but he returned to city of Shanghai to avenge his sister.

Has anyone got it to work? I got the files from MF but when I tried to run autorun.exe it fails, wondering if it's the locale problem or the downloaded file problem...

Did you read the instructions on the TLWiki? If so, did you follow them, including the use of ExtractaData to extract the specified files?

I couldn't even get the game to install lol. As soon as I mount the mdf and run autorun.exe as it prompts,it had a runtime error of some sort, saying something about specific files not found. The instructions provided by the website didn't say much to help with that.

Use  Microsoft AppLocale. Choose in the "Start aplication" box the file  menu.exe on the cd image click next and in the "Language of aplication " choose the option at the bottom. When you launch it you will be shown an install menu. Click the first button. Type in the place where you want to install and click on Ok. The game should install now. Then follow the instructions from wiki. You may need to run the ExtractData with AppLocale too, the same way you did on the menu.exe

Finished it in a couple hours. Really enjoyed it, a great kinetic novel definitely worth a read.

In case AppLocale fails you, since it's not compatible with some games, then you have to set the "Language for non-Unicode programs" to Japanese on the "Regional and Language Options" of the Control Panel.

EDIT: This is on XP, but Vista and 7 also have the same configuration, I just don't remember the exact names on the Control Panel.
