Majikoi is back and better than ever in this sequel to the hit 2009 visual novel. Majikoi S takes place after the events of Majikoi and lets you choose which of Majikoi's many endings to proceed from. Choose your favorite heroine and enjoy new romantic events with her, or choose to start with no commitment and romance one of 5 new heroines.

Just as the description suggest, Majikoi! S is a sequel of Majikoi! and you can continue the original heroines' (Momoyo, Wanko, Mayuchii, Chris and Miyako) routes through there or go with one of the new heroines (Monshiro, Kokoro, Margit, Tsubame, etc). Notice that there is a change in how the "routes" are handled this time while it remains just as easy.

So seems the two new heroines (Tsubame & Monshiro) are the only ones with actual routes that envolve more personal stories like the 5 previous heroines in the original. While Tatsuko, Kokoro, Margit only get the 'after story' treatment with a hell of a lot of H-scenes which isn't bad depending on how you look at it, me personally i'd have liked more story. In a sense Tatsuko's works if you include that her route is part of the 'Agave route' of the original so if you play that first then play her route (in S) technically she has some actual story. Haven't quite finished Kokoro's yet. Margit's [spoiler]just seemed like an excuse to have a cameo of Yamato's parents

I guess this is fair enough considering how many heroines\potential heroines there will be if they make another game or fan disk. I like how they've added an alternative split in the story for Tsubame and alternative after stories depending on if you want to be the [spoiler]'master' or 'slave' [/spoiler]. Not sure if Mon also gets a split + two after stories yet, I'd assume she does.
Every time I hear Mon talk I think she'll say; やっちゃえバーサーカー！  (guess Hume Hellsing will have to do) ;p

Miyako gets some more trap endings too <3

I wonder if Benkei, Yoshitsune & Seiso get sub character routes probably not T-T

Just so you know, the trial is rather short and might leave you hanging for wanting much more.. read at risk.

No idea why you're having issues with it.

To reach Monshiro's route simply choose "There are a lot of the Kuki-related people, like Monshiro."
or "Margit... hm... she's a good person." for Margit's near the end of the 'Future without a Relationship' section.

Monshiro's route of the selection tree is in the third row and is the second one, as where Margit's is also in the third row and is the fifth one.

Weird, if i put it in and start the game, it was all in Japanese except her route. Ah well, the others dont matter now anyway :p

I've been meaning to ask this, but kept forgetting: Is not being able to see the movie clips in the game a common problem? None of the ending movies or any other animated sequence in the game will play for me. I can play the opening and ending movies from the Movie folder just fine outside the game, but in-game they simply don't show up.

Is this a common issue or is my computer just being weird?

Fixed it, can't believe I didn't try this earlier: Changing the folder name from the original 真剣で私に恋しなさい！Ｓ to a romanized name made them play just fine -_-

Unfortunately, this made all my extras and saves vanish since apparently it doesn't access the correct folder in my documents anymore and instead creates a new one in garbled symbols, maybe because I'm using applocale instead of Japanese region. Hopefully it's as easy as copying the files over and it'll work.

They freeze for me the first time they play, but they work after I go back to the message right before them.
You aren't miss anything important. Most of them are basically just very short animated combat sequences.

Welp, that didn't change anything for me. They still freeze, I'm not really sure why.

I was testing them from the extras menu, I'm not sure if they work in-game since I just message skipped to get them to show up in the extras folder.

I made a mistake that I just realised now. The reason it worked wasn't because I renamed my folder, it was because I misclicked "run as administrator" instead of "Japanese Applocale" after I had renamed the folder, and I didn't notice. This created the garbled save folder in my documents and made the movies work from the extras menu. If I start the game with Japanese Applocale again the movies won't play anymore. However, the game can only run without Applocale for me if the folder name is in romanized text, otherwise it just gives a garbled error message. So in a sense I wasn't totally wrong about the folder name thing working.

Sadly running it without applocale makes the text look horrible, but at least now I can go back and watch the clips later on if I want to.

Uhhh... Well, it seems like if I run the game without applocale and watch the (non-ending) movies from the extras menu, they get extracted from the game and put in the save folder as MPG files, which makes them viewable from the extras menu when I run the game WITH applocale later on. What kind of programming voodoo is this game? O_o

Well, I moved the movie clips from the save folder and to the game's Movie folder and restarted the game. Now they still work with applocale enabled, and if I run the game without applocale it doesn't extract them to the save folder anymore and just reads them from the Movie folder too. They also seem to run just fine in-game.

... I'm clueless, but that really sounds like pure magic to me. Nothing of the sort happens here.

I did run the game using AppLocale but although you can play, it does show corrupted characters.

Yes, changing your system locale's to Japan (Japanese) might fix this.

How-to (for Win7):

• Click Start Button
• Control Panel
• Clocks, Languages & Regions
• Regional & Languages Settings
• Administration (The Last Tab to the Right)
• Modify the regional parameters...
• Select "Japanese (Japan)" and Restart the Computer.

Oh, and yeah, it is somewhat normal for this to happens in (non-officially translated) visual novels. The best way to be sure is always to try AppLocale first and if that doesn't work, try changing your System's Locale.

To access the Childhood and Koyuki's route, iirc, you have to basically finish every routes - tutorial aside.

Allright, that's not the real problem, because I really love to play VN Games, the problem is when you play VN Games that has not been translated, but you can't read the Japanese text and you don't know what's the meaning of it, so you don't know about the story in it, it is quite irritating, because I think the stories from each character of "Maji De Watashi Ni Koi Shinasai S" game is great too

Edit: Actually, I just saw that's not what you were suggesting. If there's anything I can suggest if you want to read Japanese without actually knowing the language, and that you're ready to go through ton of butchered text, then you can try using AGTH/ITH with a Machine Translator (Atlas or wtvr). Shame that they're being dropped, but I can't say I'm surprised since progress on them has been glacial. On the other hand I would probably never have resumed Japanese if these games hadn't been partially translated and sucked me in before being frozen in limbo, so provided I ever get to the point where I can read VNs easily I'll have these to thank for it.

Recently i came across a new type of machine translator, vnr (visual novel reader) it looks quite promising. With vnr you can actually translate vn without any hacking.

majiko s has been picked up by the same tl group that recently finished majiko on fuwa. they dont have a name yet, but i´m sure they´ll complete this task as well.

We'll have to see, as awesome as Majikoi's complete release is, a lot of it was already done. Unless they re-edited the entire thing, in which case there may be actual hope there. Can't help but be cynical.

Either way, I just wish them good luck in their endeavors. Speaking of which, anybody tried their patch? How was it translation-wise? Decent? Average? Above that? Below that?

It's not as good as the original one, though it was certainly passable for the most part. The main thing that bothers me is that they didn't stick with the same naming conventions as the original patch did. For example, in the original patch Wanko calls Chris "Kri", while in the new parts she calls her "Crit". It's minor, but it seems pointless to not keep it consistent since they bundled the old and new translations. Similarly, Chika's nickname "Sweets" is translated to "blonde" (as a general noun as well as referring to Chika) in the new parts, which is not just pointless but it also makes some sentences odd since sometimes the translation doesn't refer to Chika specifically but blonde people in general, at least as I understood it.

Overall I'd say it's a good effort. There are odd sentences and a few mistakes that I spotted, but it works. I'm not at the level where I can identify most of what might have been translated wrong so I can't really say how accurate the whole thing is, but the parts I've read so far (Miyako's path and some of Mayo's path) were more than good enough to understand and enjoy the overall story, even with the occasional error.

At least it's decent, I suppose. I guess it's also their first project, so it's not all that surprising? Just kinda worrisome considering they didn't actually tackle an entire project, only finished a mostly completed one. The nicknames changes are honestly pretty odd, consistency is pretty important and don't seem like the kind of changes that an editor or translator would miss so easily, especially Chris' who's one of the main heroines, unless they rushed themselves. I kinda get the change if it was to Cri/Chri without a T, kinda westernize it? But it's odd without it being consistent.

Hard to complain about quality of something free, but here's hoping they up their quality control if at least just fix consistency errors. Let's just hope that they'll be up to the task and, although Majikoi! S already has parts of it translated, it's not as advanced as Majikoi's was. One way or the other people will sure as hell appreciate it if they get it done.

At the very least the English in the patch is much better than the original Edelweiss translation was, which Mangagamer charged money for  :D

So, I don't actually know, but, presumably, the movies were getting moved to his saves folder (Default is generally in Documents in みなとそふと folder, in the game's dir or in %AppData%)
You could also get the subbed movies from the Fuwa translators, the link I just posted.

I think it was a bug in the game that simply extracted the movies to the save folder as they played when I didn't run it with Applocale or something. I can't really remember how it happened anymore. I don't actually have the movies anymore since I deleted them once I got around to running Win 7 in Japanese locale without Explorer crashing every few hours, which also fixed the problem of the movies not playing.

Nice to see that it's translated, though I'm not sure whether to read it in English now or suffer through it in Japanese just for the sake of learning, even if it means not understanding everything.

How Do I download using the rar files? because all of them consist of the same file mks 1 mks 2 and all of them contains the same like msk 1 = direct x and other game files while mks 2 = movies all 6gb
