The ending is really dissappointing. Authors pulling up stuff like this is really annoying, I really liked this, now ending messed it all up T^T)
Alas, I really thought I would see the main ship at the end. I will pretend this ending never existed.

i was just about to start reading this ln after all these years, but from the reaction that the last volume is getting I'm not sure what to do...

If what Kiyoe said is true (and I trust him), then...
[spoiler]The first spoilers, which stated that Maou decided to become human and marry only Chiho, were fake. He actually continued being the demon king, and while it is true that Chiho is something like the main wife, Emilia did become Maou's wife, too.[/spoiler]

i was just about to start reading this ln after all these years, but from the reaction that the last volume is getting I'm not sure what to do...

Well as of the latest vol, it is still good but i just didnt like how the author gave too much spotlight to chiho in those near end volumes.
But aside from that, its good and nice so give it a try
