Don't know why that's happening to you. Although i really don't directly convert the epubs to pdf, but when i tried it, everything seems to be fine though.
For the images i use, i just extract them from the epub file. I only use what's in the file so i'm sure the cover images are also in there.
You might need to tweak the settings or update your epub reader/converter.

There might be a little problem on the .epub. Since it was made auto-generated and auto-formatted using drm removal tool (similar to a converter), so sometimes readers are encountering bugs.
However, I never encountered a problem like that, since I am using an epub reader on pc. There's a possiblity of compatibility issue with your reader.

what i do is use the website https://ebook2pdf.com/ , which pretty much does a loosless conversion from epub to pdf.

I don't know what method traitorAIZEN does but I can share my own method:
- Convert epub to docx for easier edit
- Rename epub extension to zip and extract it so you can have the "source" images with high quality
- Edit and put images in docx, this require a few Words knowledge
- Export docx as pdf
This took about 5 mins for 1 pdf but you can edit the ebook as what you prefer (I like reading in Calibri font)

I had no idea you could rename epub to .zip and extract the images... that is mind blowing to me lol and already solves my problem to begin with! so a huge THANK YOU for that. 2. ill see and test the docx method and see how that works... honestly i think i won't be using that because the amount of time + hassle it will take is just something i don't really need to begin with. the way that https://ebook2pdf.com/ converts epubs to pdfs for me is perfect. from the view/font/etc' it just had this cover bug that honestly? just extracting the cover itself might be fine for me lol. and save me the effort on doing it in any other way.

I saw a post on the forums saying its TBD due to internal issues though it was posted 2 months ago. I speculate it is most likely due to the translator not being able to translate the series in time.

Sadly, no. Maybe because the original Japanese novel release date between vol 8 to 9 and 9 to 10 are too long, Jnovel just forget about its existence. I hope the anime adaption will encourage the author and Jnovels to publish this series more often
