【 STORY SYNOPSIS 】

Amamiya Hiroto is unlucky. His life consisted of misfortune after misfortune, culminating in an unlucky death during an incident on a school boat trip, trying to save a girl he barely knew. After death, he met a god of reincarnation who requested that the hundred or so dead passengers—one of them being the girl he tried in vain to save—be reincarnated into another world.

Yet a series of unfortunate events forced Hiroto to reincarnate with even less luck than before, starting with nothing but a tremendous amount of Mana. His second life, far worse than his first, came to a cruel end.

However, upon meeting the god a second time, he was informed that there would be yet another reincarnation—one that had already been set in motion and could not be stopped. Not wanting Hiroto to endure a third life filled with suffering, the god cursed him before he was reborn in the hopes that he would either die quickly or commit suicide.

Yup. Here's the story.
This is the web novel, but the illustrations are from light novel volumes 1&2. Apparently, the volume/arc 1 of the web novel covers the volumes 1&2 of the ln so that's where the illustrations mostly end up.
With the volume 2 of web novel, i changed the cover with one that doesn't have a watermark on it and add that inside cover(?). Also did some editing/cleaning and restyling (i'm a bit nitpicky at some things), which i also did with volume 1.

Can someone give me like, a really good reason to continue reading this? Because I thought it would be a nice read but I got turned off halfway through the first volume. Spoil me if you can about anything cool that happens later.

[spoiler]-The other reincarnated in Origin gets reincarnated in Lambda and they're out to kill vandal because the reincaration god wishes it.
-even the gods of Lambda wants him dead because he's in goddess vida's faction
-he acquires "soul break". The unique ability of the previous demon king. it can break souls, meaning the souls won't gets reincarnated anymore, even gods are not safe.
-he gets more subordinates, conquers the south, creates an empire.
-there's also a foreshadowing of his huge fight with the gods' hero
-if you like Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (Regarding Reincarnated to Slime), you'll probably like this too.[/spoiler]

Id say the story certainly slow especially on the First volume. But the following volumes is quite good.
[spoiler]Currently the protagonist has 15 fragments of the demon king, has over 1 billion mana and still increasing, can break souls,Heralded as the Eclipse King and other king titleds,and champion of vida, even evil gods are terrified of him,created evolved versions of a race and others else that i dont remember [/spoiler]
Then some WorldBuilding, this novel is quite good. For me its one of my favorites,

Most of these novels where the protagonist reincarnates as a baby has a slow "genius baby" phase. I believe that's commonplace.

I'm sensitive to most forms of NTR so i got irritated and couldnt really read properly on the first half :P

Ho God, it's slow as hell I'm reading volume 1 for a week and my mind is screaming to stop reading it. It's so slow the story taking its time. IS IT GONNA BE NICE AND INTERESTING AFTER 1ST VOLUME?????

It really depends in what you find interesting. This novel, like many other novels about being reborn in another world, starts slowly and tells people more about the world that the novel is taking place, how magic works, social status, discrimination,short-term goals, mid-term goals and long-term goals. So I believe it's very natural that a Tensei type novel, where the protagonist is a human or human-like race, to start slowly, is it easier on the reader if they learn about the world together with the protagonist. And usually babies and children, as much as they are "geniuses" because they have other life's memories, still have physiological limitations, and can't be in combat or stressful situations for prolonged time, or else they would just die. So almost every novel starts at a slower pace.

This novel eventually picks up a pace but never really goes like a full-blown battle novel. The protagonist believes that fighting is necessary, but he isn't a battle maniac, so if something can be solved without a fight, unless there's some reason he can't "not fight", there won't be a fight. This novel tends to have simultaneous happenings, making events that happened in different places, caused by different people to end up in a situation that Vandalieu ends up involved with, so the author takes his time making the situations by showing what's going on instead of just exploding sudden situations on the reader.

Most volumes have one, two or even three big happenings, where things get more hectic and it "speeds up", but usually is about the same as the first volume. The second volume really shows how the series go, so if you read volumes one and two and didn't like, I recommend you to stop reading.

Yeah it is quite slow but a good read indeed. The vol 7 has the most fights in my opinion

I will take back what I said the vol 1 and half of vol2 is dead slow but after the half of vol2 the novel got intersting. Thank god I didn't drop it.

Actually, I believe this novel sucks extremely bad, definitely one of the absolute worst novel I ever read.

Really loved this story and the flow, read all vols in less than a week though, it doesn't feel like a web novel that would end up with lots of changes than fixing words when officially translated/released as LN(well, it'll have more images than it has now, also, the art is pretty good as well).

Ahhh...yes, welcome to the waiting room. As far as I remember, this novel has long chapters, and the realeases are not that constant, because the translator has a day job. Usually, two to three volumes are released a year. I believe the next volume should take much longer tough, probably a couple of months.
