The Japanese release date for volume 1 is December 27, 2017 and no volume 2
j-novel's release is April 11, 2018
so don't expect for volume 2 anytime soon

I believe the prologue spoils the events of Volume 2 of the original series, and of course some worldbuilding elements that appear later than that in the original series also turn up right off the bat, as it is somewhat unavoidable due to being in the same world.
As this is a prequel though, the original plot is largely ignored and if anything you'll know how this spinoff series would end already if you read the original, but I reckon the journey is much more fun than the ending anyway right?
