Game is a fucking drag without a skip function ~~
You just don't want to read all the same stuff on you third+ playthroughs.
no skip? i thought that was like a pre-requisite for VN's now
Skip function costs money, >_> they probably didnt have a dollar to pay the code monkey.
It's all ages... the drawings are funky... no voice... no skip function... I guess it's not bad for a wapanese game ._.
no skip? i thought that was like a pre-requisite for VN's now
No skip function!? that's lame.
It's all ages... the drawings are funky... no voice... no skip function... I guess it's not bad for a wapanese game ._.
You can bash it all you want, but "no voice"? Shouldn't you be better informed before going all "HULK SMASH!" on something?
System is interesting. Thats all. Plot and voice terrible.
Naoko route:Do not kill the dinosaur. He is a good. - are you serious?
Yuu route - I died when I was 5 years old. But because of the demon inside of me I'm alive - ;D
There are no good endings. Meh.
I only finished the Alice route, and meh, it was just baaaad. It might have been nice with proper drawings and voice acting, but the way they presented it was just sad ~~
After that one ending, and having to face all the repetitiv text yet again, I just can't get myself to try the other endings.

Ya, that was unwarranted but it isn't voiced (nor would be better voiced) ... I don't expect it to be voiced since it's made in California but somehow I expected... well... something... I've only played Naoko's route so far... it's mildly entertainment but... I'm not sure if it captures the Japanese renai game experience as they claim... other than the fact they're using Japanese names and creative ideas... but how do I put this... perhaps it's not twisted enough...
... ughhhh california they probably are my neighbors....
Someday I'll get rid of all this bad stigma shitfucks are piling onto my dream.
Meanwhile I'll just continue with: fucking wannabes
Is the version 1.12 or the 1.13?
Version 1.12. I'll paste the NFO on the first post.
I think they wanted to add an easy mode in 1.13.
It might make the game more playable actually, god damn stat grind gets way too repetitiv.
If I see a patch around Blackcats or something like that, I'll post it here.
I dont know if its me or partially voiced or im just being trolled by my own computer?
It's partially voiced, aka like 1% of the whole fucking text is voiced.
Either do it properly or don't do it at all, damn jackass company.
I never gave it the chance to reach the unvoiced parts. That's really lazy and pretentious on their part, given how they stick on everyone's faces that it had "professional voice acting", every time that they promoted the title.

That isn't considered voiced... D:< it's like painting a red dot on a car and calling it red.
this VN just gets more and more fail

I hope to God I'm not that retarded when marketing mine. God should have put a limit to American stupidity...instead he gave it license to run rampant around the internet.
Can someone help me, I've tried to extract the file I downloaded from the link using 7-zip, but I always get a message sayint that the file was using a unsupported compression method. Anyone know how to correctly extract this game? Thanks
I can imagine seeing a programmer with a hundred dollar bill to pay the VAs off to finish the voice overs and some wind blows by and takes the 100..... T_T fail... i seriously think they budget cut the fuck out of this game.
Why the hell do the screenshots remind me of a flash game I once played..

are you using the latest 7-zip? http://www.7-zip.org/ (http://www.7-zip.org/)
... if you did and it failed then your files are corrupt... otherwise you're probably using winRAR or something, which doesn't always work out for 7z format.

Thanks for your help, I've downloaded the newest version of 7-zip and now I can extraxt the file :)
And here was I downloading it just to prove that you were doing it wrong...
I'm kind of scared to play this now. Is it safe? Will it make me want to punch my monitor? Or is it actually kind of enjoyable??
You're better off playing Tokemi Memorial - Girls side as a straight male, than bothering with this ~~
Ouch!
You're better off playing Tokemi Memorial - Girls side as a straight male, than bothering with this ~~
Nice
from this kind of reception , dont expect another release from these guys? :D
Updated to 1.13 ;)
Changes:
Added an "easy mode".
Fixed a bug in the report card panel where sci/math and art grades were swapped. Thanks to MrMRA from the forums for reporting this.
Fixed a bug where new volatile state (introduced, for example, in an app update) can be modified and then erroneously carried over to an unrelated save.
Fixed Saint Lucia/Saint Lucy discrepancy. Thanks to Zufield from the forums for reporting this.
Fixed a dialogue discrepancy in Christmas shopping event. Thanks to Oblivionhold from the forums for reporting this.
Fixed some misnamed exam feedback events. Thanks to Oblivionhold from the forums for reporting this.
Changed the date of a failure event in Suzu's ending that was being shown out of order. Thanks to mopman from the forums for reporting this.
Fixed a grammatical error that was found in several events. Thanks to Zufield from the forums for reporting the original case of this.
Fixed bug in which MegaCram good activity was not giving the appropriate rewards. Thanks to okieluv and others in the forums for reporting this.
Added a registry key "AlternateSaveLocation" that can be used to override the default save file location. To use it, add a "string" item to the Shira Oka registry folder called "AlternateSaveLocation" (for example, C:\ShiraOkaSaves). Then create that folder. All of your save state will now use that folder. To revert, remove the registry key. Thanks to João Salvadoretti for taking the time to help diagnose a crash on app launch bug that led to this workaround.
Still no skip function ... wth
lol, all these bugs fixed but the most important thing still remains
How easy is easy mode? >_> I'll play if I don't need multiple playthroughs to do all the routes, lol. Just kidding but seriously, I don't like stat grinding on top of no skip =-=" going through the opening again on 1.13... meh...
You would think with all the galge/eroge/visual novels out there you would think they did enough research to make a skip function.
evidently not
You're better off playing Tokemi Memorial - Girls side as a straight male, than bothering with this ~~
Man I wish they'd translate Tokimeki Memorial 4...Miyako <3 :D
lol Ensei > this
evidently not
May they learn the painful lesson from bad sales?
one can hope...
Maybe all the real VN players don't actually make games, and only casual ones do. Either way they seem like fags and I haven't even tried the game yet...lol
You know your game is bad when a bunch of people are telling each other not to try it even for free.

they should have at least hired a proper artist... I could personally recommend two... it would have made a huge difference.

What kind of art is it?
proper anime art... heck even if it weren't anime art, it'd at least be consistent, more detailed without any glaring oddities in proportion... a friend from high school and guildmate for RO, even back then she could draw better than... well this, lol... I mean shira oka art reminds me of Paigeedraw... and even then...

lol it wasnt hand drawn they used an PC programs and even i find it hard to use mspaint/photoshop/whatever to make what they did in the game the fact is they didnt hire the right person -_- im assuming they only played western indie visual novels, *PFFFT tycoongames making rpg games is hilarious*

O.O the people I'm talking about are at the level where they've already developed their own unique styles, and can draw the same character over and over again from different angles without inconsistencies, photoshop, corel draw, drawing boards from wacom... I learned the basics from them but I never had talent for art... =-=" but still I can see how inadequate shira oka's art is... though quite a bit of effort has definitely been put into it O.O
... 5 years development ...

How much did they pay him to write that?
Has that guy actually played a VN before or are all the "dating sims" he's played just flash games on newgrounds? It's like, "OH MY GOD, THERE'S LIKE, A STORY, AND CHARACTERS, WITH CHARACTERIZATION! AND IT'S SET IN SCHOOL! I WENT TO SCHOOL SO I CAN RELATE! THIS IS AMAZING. SOMETIMES MY MISTAKEN CHOICES EVEN HAVE CONSEQUENCES HOLY SHIT"

LOL. I like your cut down version, cuts through the crap and gets to the point. What happened to quality of review writing over quantity really? Ohh this explains it 'We review video games. But rather than trying to be objective we offer a range of personal opinions from regular columnists.' Never did know this site existed until now either.

The art doesn't look that bad. Was it really?
The art doesn't look that bad. Was it really?
It isn't bad but it wasn't even on a semi-professional (like my friends) or wholly professional level... my first impression was "flash game" lol.
The art doesn't look that bad. Was it really?
Even Tsukihime looks better than that.
thats saying something
thats saying something
Tsukihime or FSN weren't all that great artwise; but they sure had their style.
of course they had better stories as well
I was talking about the visual aspect, and even though Fate's artwork isn't that great, it had the polish that was lacking on Tsukihime.
that polish would make it look even better if they ever get around to that tsukihime remake
Taking into account that Mahoutsukai no Yoru is getting constantly delayed and that Nasu told in an interview that the script and it's insertion were done more than a year ago...
I was talking about the visual aspect, and even though Fate's artwork isn't that great, it had the polish that was lacking on Tsukihime.
Kagetsu Tohya had almost Fate quality artwork except it was too shiny. It's kind of interesting to see the evolution from Tsukihime -> Kagetsu Tohya -> Fate/Stay Night.
Fate's artwork would be way better if there were more facial variety.
But Fate made great use of what sprites they did have... I especially like Rin drifting in in the morning... and when Sakura got angry =3
lol, I was hungry for some english translated galge and ran across this one, but all I saw was utter rejection from you guys. Is it really that bad ? Anyone who have played it or even just tried it for 1 hour can review it ?
Review huh ? Just a few things out of my head.
Well ...
+A lot of different gals with a varity of personalities ( YES I'm grasping for straws here ... )
+Oh yeah, it's all ages! Meaning you don't have to torture yourself through badly drawn sex scenes and hillarious voice acting ^_^.
-Amateur art
-Only a few lines are voiced at all.
-Dating system is very weak. You call out the girls you are interested in on small dates, resulting in a few lines of text between you and your target. Not really very motivational.
-Durr terrible ending video
-I only finished Alice her route, the idea behind it seemed all right, but the execution was terribly sloppy and childish.
-After every route you have to start the game again, you keep all your base stats ( str/int/etc ) and your pearks but you loose all your progress on your advanced stats, eg. arts, maths, sports etc. Makes the game pretty tedious to replay. Too many bad grades = repeat from the beginning, meaning you have to keep a thight shedule even in your consecutive playthroughs
-There is NO skip function. Seeing how you gotta replay 3 fucking years ingame time over and over, you just get flooded by having to read the same text over and over again.
that seem like some mindless stat-building game alright...
updated to 1.1.5
uh... people still playing this?... ???
Some people are just gluttons for punishment. Although, maybe the update fixed some of the problems that everybody had with it.
one would hope...
very smart of them to have people download the patch where they bought the game from instead of posting a link to a updater.
Thank you for v1.1.5.
They have released a new v1.1.6 on July 2, 2011. Can anyone please upload the v1.1.6 patch?

updated to 1.1.6
game still going strong huh?!
I think... the 'all ages' thing must have been one of the reason...
... I doubt anyone who has had experience with a quality Sim-VN would want to replay this thing (I said 'replay', it doesnt mean they wouldnt give it a shot or a benefit of a doubt).
... And naturally, to get above mentioned 'experience' you need to play other Sim-VN games which;
1) are not hosted on some flash gaming website.
2) not made out of flash
3) have at least more than 7 hours of game time per route due to a solid story.
naturally, such Sim-VN games majority contains ecchi. Sadly, that's how the VN market works right now...
.. Thus, NOT all ages...
Therefor; to those that are used to the 'simple' type of Sim-VN... This game, is perhaps one of the best VN they have ever ever played... ...
THEY NEED TO BE SHOWN THE LIGHT MY BROTHERS!
tl;dr anything but this
There was a new patch uploaded on Halloween.
Any idea on v1.1.7 release?
Updated to 1.1.8 :)
