Title: A little computer help.
Post by: Zyibis on June 15, 2011, 11:06:26 AM
Hey guys, I got a question for you all. My computer has been somewhat legging lately and sometimes it freezes with "Not Responding". Most of the time it returns to normal after a bit but it's bothering me and I want to know what's causing it.

I use Avast for virus protection and sadly I don't got a program for malware/spyware etc.

Malwarebytes Antimalware.
Avast... is ... sad.
Use ccleaner to disable some of the programs that you don't need your computer to start with, and help clean the registery a bit.
Take note of what is using your ram/cpu when your computer becomes unresponsive.

I heard it was a good free anti-virus program. Or are there better ones?

Msoft did a pretty awesome job with MSE. Pretty much the best free virus protection you can get, and I wouldn' say it's any worse than the commercial ones.
