Well does the graphics stretch to cover the entire screen in Crescendo in Fullscreen Mode ? Mine only retains the size of the windowed mode and the remainder of the screen becomes black. I did not have this problems with games like Clannad.  Is there a workaround?

Yes they do, it could be just this version of Crescendo. I believe this one is the one where the menu isn't fully translated. I got the 2 CD G-collections version but I'm not sure if that makes a difference with the full screen setting.

Can media codecs like K-lite that I have installed be the cause of the non-stretching problem ? I tried changing my monitor resolution but still the game started in the same way as before (it seemed the game resolution did not change).

It could be the game itself, as mine goes full screen no problem. What Windows are you using?

I am using Windows 7 32-bit. I am having this trouble with some other g-collection games as well . But the titles from mangagamer like dacapo, shuffle and others like Clannad work fine.

Have you tried setting the compatibility to a lower windows? 

Yes, I tried using compatibility mode but still the same result . When i set it to start with 640x480 resolution initially the monitor resolution became 640x480 but when the game started the game resolution did not change. It was as if the game was still using 1200x800 resolution. Btw I have an nViDIA graphics card.

you probably have some sort of forced aspect/scaling turned on or off?

 I have nvidia scaling turned on. But it is supposed to stretch the graphics. I turned it off but still the same problem .  :( also in the fullscreen mode the mouse pointer also gets confined to the small portion in which the graphics are displayed.

noticed that there are 2 versions, one from US that don't have almost anything and a JP version that got all the CGs and so on. which version is for download here ?

Ah yes, Crescendo. I enjoyed it very much. I always wondered why there isn't option "extra" ith all CG because I've heard that there should be. Noramlly I wouldn't care but in Crescendo when you unlock all Cg new path will apear.
