That summer day. Makoto Okano and his younger sister Hinata sit across from each other in the box seats of a local express heading to that town, underneath a blue sky that seems to stretch out to infinity. The town they are heading to is the very one that they were born in and were separated from long ago -- Kazune City. In the midst of the midsummer wind, bathed in the wind that rushes in from the train window, they head to that town, which they only have vague memories of.

"Say, let's promise to meet again."

"I'll keep playing this harmonica, okay? Because even if I can't reach you, the sound of the harmonica surely will."

The harmonica, which was handed over together with the promise to that girl.

And within the shaking cabin of the train, Makoto wakes up, dimly but surely recalling that memory ...

played this one before and i really liked hikari.
the entire story seems to be a little bit random to me tho. = =

I downloaded this months ago, but the torrent still appears to be seeded.  

The torrent also includes the English Patch, which as of this date is unavailable due to NNL's site being down because of the minori issues.

Odd I can't seem to use Daemon tools to properly open it. I've tried both the .mds and .mdf files and neither works. It looks like it is in the process of loading (hourglass-ish thing) after clicking setup (or runsetup...tried both) and then nothing. I have a windows vista (64) but never had a problem with any others. This is my fourth time attempting to download/torrent this game (with 4 different releases) and still no luck. Anyone have any idea why setup does not work properly? Would love to play the game sometime. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have east-asian langauge support and do you have unicode settings set to japanese?

I have both of those set. I've been able to install nearly every game on here (and elsewhere) and yet whenever I try to install Wind it fails. I have no idea why and it frustrates me to no end if you can think of anything else that may help please let me know. thanks.

Oh man, I played this a year ago...doing Minamo's route, I don't think I've ever wanted to punch a VN protagonist so badly, I couldn't make myself do any of the other routes  :-\

Well he wasn't screwing around behind anybody's back...just really, really, really oblivious to the girl liking him despite one of the most painfully obvious crushes ever. I'll give it another chance if he's better in other routes though - I liked the other characters and the art is nice.

So it's more of a Natsuru from Kampfer situation?

You should play the route with the grey haired girl, it offers quite a bit of an insight into the story behind the scenes.

I'm not very familiar Kampfer so I wouldn't know :P

There is only one DVD version of Wind, which is Re:gratitude, and it's the only one that's compatible with the translation patch. I'll change the topic's title to avoid explaining this again.

The multi-upload link for the patch doesn't seem to work either, but erogedownload seems to have a few working ones. Not sure what their linking policy for ddls is so won't give the direct link here, just use google...
