The Oracle Princess Alfina suddenly announces an ominous prophecy to the people of the Kingdom of Crownheight. However, shunned as she is for being a descendant of rebel blood, her words are heeded by no one.

On the other hand, Ricardo, the adopted heir of a peddler, who also happens to be an economics department graduate reincarnated into this world, attends the Royal Academy to study as a merchant.
During an argument with a much more affluent merchant, the one to stick up for him is none other than Alfina.

As the distance between them rapidly closes, Ricardo makes full use of his modern knowledge of science, mathematics and economics to stand against the unknown disaster of prophecy!

Copying my review from elsewhere:

An economist who didn't manage any success reincarnates to a magical world (usual stuff with feudal kingdoms, knight orders, monsters) and becomes a poor merchant who dreams of one day bending the stagnant economy to his will. Unfortunately, he gets tangled up with the Oracle Princess attending his school who suddenly prophesizes an upcoming disaster.

First volume was pretty entertaining, although the characters are not noteworthy they aren't insufferable, there are no glaring issues in the plot or pacing. It's pretty cookie-cutter and won't find a place in any top ten list, but it's not bad. Second volume ups the ante and fleshes the world even more, with bigger stakes on the horizon.

Eagerly expecting volume 3!
