P.S. This has been bugging me for a while too: there was one illustration early on in Volume 1 but none anywhere else, is that how the books were published? That's not normal for LNs though... is it?

Most likely he didn't get the illustration for the rest. It's kinda hard to get an LN illustration, you get it either from a pirated copy of LN or some fansite. If not you're out of luck. If you want to see the first 3 colour illustrations from each novel, then you should visit bookwalker(CLICK HERE (https://bookwalker.jp/de688c9889-7265-4b16-a9a8-307a0391a374/)) and use the trial read function and screenshot the first 3 illustrations.
