Covenant of the Plume is the first Valkyrie Profile game for the Nintendo DS. The game stars a young hero, Wilfred, who has the ability to wield incredible power due to a special feather.

For eons the Valkyrie has taken those slain from battle and recruited them in Asgard's ultimate army. However, some believe the Valkyrie will purposely slay those she favors.
Take control of Wlyfred, who believes the Battle Maiden has slain his father. When he himself is killed in a battle, he makes a pact with the evil goddess Hel for an attempt to get revenge. But in order to do so, he must sacrifice those close to him.
In this tactical RPG, you control the story. Will you kill off your own friends, or will you decide to just let all feelings of revenge go? The choice is yours.

God, i remember this. This game goes hard in gameplay AND your own feels. Almost every level it's desinged to push aginest a wall and beat the S*** out of you, forcing you to sacriface somebody already deployed in your party, but that persong MUST be a friend of yours, you know their history and all that, then that "almost dead friend" will go Berserk and kill everything in it's path. There aren't many missions where you can't grind EXP, so the amount of EXP you can gain for every characther it's limited, so most of the time your party will be weaker that the bunch of enemys that you are fighting. Aslo there is the "Sin system". If you do a lot of overkill damage, you'll be rewarded plentyfully, but if you don't do enough, a tottally overpowered miniboss will spawn in the next mission. Also, to mock you, the miniboss it's one of your dead friends.
Still, the game it's awesome and i tottally recomended.
