I'm pretty sure it's just register and done, no activation required so no email needed.

Update on the above. I didn't get an activation email, but it seems at some point my account was activated (and only a short while after I posted the above). Although for some reason I wasn't able to log in using my username and password. But I was able to log in using the email address (I used for registration) instead of my username.

I'm another member who was, until today's forum change/update, logging into the site via Google, and so am now no longer able to. And like those above, I have had absolutely no joy in my attempts to receive an activation email.

And it seems the change also brought with it the requirement to be logged in to access the download links. Was this an intentionally change, or simply an oversight? Given that you didn't need to be logged in before the change/update.

Hi, I accessed via social media (google) and now I can no longer access as this function is no longer available with the template change.  I tried to recover the password by entering the username and it told me that it had sent an email to change the password but nothing arrived.  I would like to clarify that I have several posts open with my account and therefore I don't want to "lose" it.

Only a small portion of verification emails make it through, you know, the ones sent before it hits the send limit.
Anyways, since you mentioned you have gmail, you could just log in via google, which doesn't require a verification email.

Kureha does not activate accounts manually, at least, hasn't for many years because it would be a full time job in and of itself.
The join reasons occasionally do get read though.

You know, if you login with google, you don't need a verification email as it's instantly approved.
The email service K1 uses has a limit on how many emails can be sent and gmail seems to be blocking verification emails, so it's suggested on the sign up page that you don't use gmail emails.

But hey, no one bothers to read anything.

Hijacking I take polite offence to that as one of the few people who do read things :P. Okay, initially I registered a gmail, but then I read that gmail wasn't taking verification mails and I switched to my Yahoo address, but nothing was showing up in Yahoo either. Username is brokentiers.
