Hai to Gensou no Grimgal (灰と幻想のグリムガル) is an action and fantasy novel written by Ao Jyumonji and illustrated by Eiri Shirai. The series is currently ongoing with 6 volumes released. The series has a confirmed anime in the making, which will air in winter of 2016. As of now, two of the five volumes have been translated by translation group NanoDesu, with translation of the third volume expected to begin during Christmas 2015.
Before Haruhiro had realized what happened, he was surrounded by darkness. Why was he here? Where was here? Even now, he still didn't know. Those around him were the same as him, no one remembered anything other than their own names. And when they emerged from the darkness, the world that awaited them seemed like something out of a videogame.
In order to survive, Haruhiro forms a party with the others, learns fighting skills, and as a soldier in the reserve force, takes his first steps into the world of Grimgal. What awaits him there, he doesn't know...
This the story of an adventure born from the ashes.

the picture on the beginning was landscape on ePub version so when you convert it to PDF the image enlarge to portrait that make it stretch

Errrmmm... vol5 is already available here... vol6 shd be available quite soon - seeing as JNovelClub has alr translated it.
For the rest, well it seems that JNovelClub is the most likely source of future English transated Grimgar so yeah approx 10-12 weeks per volume I'd say (thereabouts if they keep to the current pace)

Ok, the next discussion may spoil vol 14. If you haven't read it yet, please don't look at it.
[spoiler]Well, since the ending of vol. 14 was really bonkers (I don't think anybody uses this word know, buttfuckit :D )and since the next 2 volumes are literally spin offs from the perspective of a lot of people (which 1): Jnovel is not yet translating them and 2): vol 15 doesn't even have a release date confirmed, so there will be no continuation for a while i guess, maybe a year), it will probably give us some clues about everything. But it will probably not give us the MOST IMPORTANT ANSWER to the question right now...*Points at vol 14 ending* ...Why? Hiyomu literally passed from strange girl with a mascot vibe to being the FUCKING DEVIL. One thing is killing somebody, but REBOOTING ALL THE WAY BACK TO VOL 1 really hurts (ok, not exactly vol 1. Kuzaku, setora and kiichi are still there, but that somehow makes it even weirder). At least they are back at Alterna after all this years, but now they have no idea nor memories about anything, but to be honest maybe thats not even an issue. If they look around in alterna they should find clues that they where here before, like the coin trading company, and if they are lucky (since voluntair soldiers doesn't seem to hang around alterna for too much time), some of the groups that the meet before (Althought, some others may want to fuck with them, since they don't remember them. I can picture already Minorin telling Haruhiro that they are married or something, and the Tokis will back up this.) So yeah, i think vol 15 (Or vol 14++ if we are lucky) may be a literal amnesiac arc. Also, i really want to know what happened to Alice and Reon, but i got the gut feeling that we may not hear from them in a while.
I know it may sound stupid to actually do this whole thing of trying to think what just happened and maybe whats going to happen, but this fell like the biggest cliffhanger i ever had (no joking, not even Halo 3 cliffhanger that the chief was alive all this time fell mindblowing as this), and there will be no answers in a while, so it's either this, or feel the blue balls of my/your own weird imagination. Anyways, what do you think?[/spoiler]

What can you say guys about those short stories in all of the vols (alot in sidestory vols), where they know each other before grimgar? Is it a "what if" or nah. Ive been treating them as a flashback or smt since i started reading this and i just realized i could also consider them as what ifs.

Premium versions have bonus short stories. The exception being first three volumes, which have extra colour illustrations instead.
