In seriousness this remake of Rance 2 only has one (optional) CG with characters from the first game, so you're not missing out on much if you skip it. But still, characters from the older games do reappear in later games, especially Sengoku Rance and looking even more like it in Rance Quest.

that's the thing, Machiko NEVER ask Rance to repair her computer, at least in my playthrough
they said it's random, but I spent a whole night just for entering and exiting dungeon, no luck

I heard the guys onHGTP are prioritizing to translate Rance Quest over Rance 3 now.
After half through playing Rance Quest, I feel that it's more like a filler game with not much actually happening as the setup for the upcoming Rance 9 which would take place in Hellman.  Though, curse Alicesoft for what happened with Suzume and Rizna in the end of the game without better closure ;_;
