Description
Felmenia Stingray was a genius magician. She quickly became the most distinguished magician of the Astel Kingdom after her discovery of white fire magic, which had the power to burn anything.

However, the world is in peril due to the Demon King. The kingdom's court magicians perform a summoning ritual for heroes and bring forth a hero and two youths, a boy and a girl. Unlike the girl, the young man refused to fight the Demon King alongside the Hero and demanded to be sent back to his world. The kingdom, angry with his behavior, locked him away.

Now Felmenia stands before the young man with her strongest magic, the white flame, being completely useless and asks who he is. It was already obvious to her that this man was far stronger than she was. To this he simply responds.

"Yakagi Suimei, a magician."

[spoiler] I stopped reading around vol 3 , the MC is not that op as the premise told him to be. . . it is said he doesn't help in defeating the demon king but ends up doing the people around him a favor and ends up helping people along the way. . . and there are some cringey moments from here and there. . . I think the artist changed from vol 6 onwards, , idk [/spoiler]

anyone knows why they changed the illustrator? there has to be a reason right? sorry for necroing this post

planning on reading it since JNC picked it up so i was curious why they changed it

Because the illustrator was too busy, knowing he also works with Altina, besides the illustrations are almost the same as Altina, it's quite confusing so they kick him out.

Please someone can re-upload this. Link not exist.

That's too bad. Looking at volumes 1-6 with those nice illustrations and then in volume 7-8 I'm like "who the heck is that?" I'm not one for the new illustrator.

Glad Hikoki get the recognition he deserved. I've read the first vol, and yeah, it's really Hikoki translation style. Glad JN-club hired the guy for this LN.

If only other english publisher hired  the fan TL to do the official translation.

is there differences between webnovel and light novel?

I'm not sure about the difference between the Light novel and Web novel but they were mostly the same until where I stopped reading (around where volume 2 in the LN would be in the WN). The Web Novel translations were pretty bad too from what I remembered, was probably just really bad machine translation. I'm not sure if the WN's translation has gotten better or if it still is being translated, switched to LN since it was further ahead and Hikoki's translation really was better by a lot.

Also the Volumes uploaded on this thread are from the Light Novel, the tag seems to be wrong and should probably be changed [Light Novel] added at least.

Same here, when I saw the new illustrations I thought "It's the same novel that I was reading before? Who is this character?". To me the characters lost their individuality, the girls look almost the same now.

Is this the LN or WN and if it is the LN how is it different then http://www.vn-meido.com/k1/index.php?topic=5466.0 I ask because the links call this the LN

this topic here is for the LN but is an unofficial translation..

the topic "The Magic in this Other World is Too Far Behind!" is the official english release.. 

If this one is for the unofficial fan translations of the LN version, then why is it still labelled as [Web Novel]? And where can I find what remains of the translations for chapters 30-33 of the WN version? NovelUpdates has links for all the others as the current translator is going back to try and retranslate the missing chapters, plus chapter 84 for some reason.

because at first this one is really WN EN translation (before LN version get picked) but then the WN translation stop and the LN version get picked and the content already much farther than the current WN translation, so it posted here as well

well this thread more or less will most likely dead because no WN-LN translation anymore in the future except official LN at different thread

i think is better for you to read the LN.. because cap 84 from WN is just the Cap1 from LN Volume 5.. you have up to volume 8 translated to read.

this thread actually abandoned because most of this content here actually from translated LN (the unofficial one) then translator get taken by JNC as official translator from vol 1 (now at vol 7), so thread that content the official release is the one that active

yeah, the WN translated at 40-ish or 50-ish and that's around in ther early vol 5 of LN (official LN tranlated at around vol 6 to vol 7, unofficial at vol 8 last year)

oh btw  the Vol 9 JP/RAW version still delayed by the publisher until now without further information, so don't go around and ask for the trasnlated one
