Campione! (カンピオーネ！, Kanpiōne) is a light novel series written by Takedzuki Jou and illustrated by Sikorsky.
Formerly released under the Super Dash Bunko label, Campione! is now published by Dash X Bunko. The series currently consists of a total of 18 volumes.
Takedzuki Jou is also the author of the Meiyaku no Leviathan (Leviathan of the Covenant) series.
An anime produced by Diomedea aired from July to September in 2012, covering Volumes 1-5 but deviating with an original ending.
Story Synopsis
A Campione—a godslayer—is a supreme ruler.
Since he can kill a celestial being, he can therefore call on the sacrosanct, divine powers wielded by the gods.
A Campione—a godslayer—is a lord.
Since the power to kill a deity is in his hands, he therefore looms over all mortals on Earth.
A Campione—a godslayer—is a devil.
Since of all mortals who live in the world, none can assume a power to match his!
Kusanagi Godou, a 16 year old boy who played in the senior league as catcher and fourth hitter—that is, the cleanup—when he was in Junior High. However, an injury put an end to baseball.
Though that was not the end for him. During the spring break of his third and last year in Junior High, he got involved in an adventure and ended up slaying one of the Heretic Gods, Verethragna. Thus, he became the youngest—and seventh—Campione.
Now that he is a Campione, a godslayer, the young Godou must defeat the troublemaking gods, with the help of his followers!

Just want to give a heads up that Campione volume EX is out and translated. Pretty much the epilogue to the main series and helps connect to the spin-off Campiones series.

you mean the anime ? better read from the beginning I say, why ? some part kinda seriously butchered in anime version not to mention that anime ending will create a paradox for the latter part of story
a one important note, that whole vol compressed into 1 eps this seriously stupid move (the first eps)

I've been meaning to start reading this one for quite a time now and when i do im confused on where to start. Vol1 is clearly in a middle of an arc so does the whole other volumes be jumbled up in order? If so can i ask if you know the story's chronological order as im not up to something mind jumbling for now?

If you want to start chronologically, it should be Volumes 3-4 first, Volumes 1,2,5,6,7,8,9,10,etc after that.

So it was only the athena arc that was not in chronological order. If that was the case, i guess ill just scckk it up.
