I'm not sure how open you are to spoilers, and which pairings you want to hear about.

In terms of romance, it hasn't progressed that much. Emi no longer hates Maou and is open to helping him with things. [spoiler]In volume 17, she even shows some concern about Maou's cut off horn, like whether it still hurts,[/spoiler] but she still hasn't sorted out her feelings towards Maou (realising that she likes him, if such feelings exist within her).[spoiler]In volume 20, Maou moved into her apartment to live with her and Alas=Ramus for Alas=Ramus's sake because Alas=Ramus is feeling stressed from growing up and yet both her "parents" aren't giving her enough attention recently. So I guess there is some development there, but Emi has not confessed to Maou yet. Because to the both of them, this is just for Alas=Ramus's sake, and they don't treat it as a romantic thing between them. [/spoiler]

For Chiho, she confessed to Maou early on, but Maou has not given her any reply as of volume 20, though he seemed to have given it a little thought.

[spoiler]For Suzuno, she confessed to Maou in volume 19, but Maou ran away without replying her. So just like Chiho, she is also waiting for Maou's answer, but Maou has avoided discussing these confessions with Chiho and Suzuno respectively.[/spoiler]

Yeah i'm completely open to spoilers brother no problem and what else can i say but ...... i'm a little disappointed really lol
[spoiler]I don't like stories that just cocktease the hell out of the romance but even that would have been kind of okay but then just not answering not only one but two confessions mannnnn that kind of sucks lol, idk if i want to read this series now, yeah i know this is more about comedy and all but still as i said i don't like stories that blueball the readers this much.[/spoiler]

I don't read it for the romance but for the main plot (especially for Lucifer related content), but yeah, it is a little annoying on the romance end if you're reading the series for that. There are other good things in the series, but Volume 19 almost broke the camel's back so to speak. Luckily Wagahara seemed to have fixed it a little in Volume 20.

Ah, that's disappointing. I am fine with slow romances, but this is snail tempo with evasive maneuvers.
