Actually, that's not right. The people working on the project weren't a part of Aegis and, so, they are still working on the project. One of them announced it a week ago, here, but the rollback got rid of that person's account and posts. Maybe he/she will register again.

I can read a bit of Mandarin but I avoid reading things in that language. The chinese translators are incompetent and likes to take liberties and shortcuts in their translations, the amount of facepalms generated from a single 27 minute episode sub is painful.

English translation team members were all working on another project(s) at the same time. I think G-Maou and YUNO or something like that. They put koisuru on the back burner. Supposedly they will resume once the other projects are complete.

Well it's defo the same characters, if the content is the same, who knows.
Plus it seems to come for the PSP, so well unless you write your own patcher and hack that format you probably wont be able to enter the translation into it.

I think PSP ver. is the same game as PC and PS2 ver.(PS2 release 11/20/08)

It also hurt when one of the Projects you host suddenly disappeared for months after they announced "there will be a patch sometime soon", you know.
Anyways, Force88 - who took care of Koitate PJ (suddenly) showed up yesterday, from him I can assume that:
+ Yukino's route overall progress has reached 87%
+ 6 more scenes to go 
+ He will released the patch through pm as the C&D letter is still around.

sengoku7 if you followed the topic, you should know that Nanaya lurks K1 and that he posts status updates when someone asks for them. There are posts missing on this topic that couldn't be recovered.

Got the script, from which I can see that they've given a lot of effort in this PJ, since the lines go pretty smooth (until the Bad End I got  :D)
The remaining 3 untranslated scenes I mentioned earlier are still there because the translator has gone MIA. I'm thinking of recruiting a new translator to get them all done before releasing.

ahhh trial and intro translations make me bang my head against the wall no wonder they used to call them teasers demos.

well, for who want to know about the actual progress of the translation, we're only 3 scenes away from Yukino release. But our translator is too busy and decided to drop so we're stalled indefinitely until we can find another translator.

You're not setting the standards very high considering Edelweiss needed to be re translated O.O well, it wasn't actually bad since I had no trouble understanding it but the issue with FH isn't so much with translation as with unrestricted trolling.

Unfortunately most people cant help because of: 1)they are to busy with work or school. 2) People who do know japanese/english and can translate do not want to because they are not interested in this type of thing. 3)People do not know japanese and do not want to take time learning it. or 4) They are to lazy to help. I fall on 1 and 3 but mainly on 1 since O chem takes to much of my time.

I think i can help. But I'm not naive english speaker and only have basic japan language.

The English would be "uutsu" but in this case I think you can just say "oww" or "ouch". It's different from "ita" I guess, but I'm guessing the meaning is the same. Or if it's just a friendly hit it could be "pffft" or "cough hack cough".

I'm sure the former translator just put "Uuuu..." when he got that line, and it sounds pretty funny, too :))

Anyone else having the game freeze on a white screen? After they dress up and talk about the school it goes to some white screen and freezes. Anyway to bypass that?

to pass that scene, save right before that, then replace translated 'script.arc' file with the original one (you may have to reinstalled the game if you haven't backup the original file first). Then go past that scene, save, and overwrite it with the new one.

Hmm its doing the same thing with the original script, not sure whats going on.

Im not sure which one is the quick save, but if you Q Load and click 2-3 times, thats when it freezes on a white screen.

Heh, I have been wondering for a while why Iron Maiden keeps showing up on some Vietnamese sites, so the project is headed by a Vietnamese heh? Hey, how big is the Vietnamese VN-community you know?

In any case, can you give me a "representative" potion of the original script? And by representative I mean one that has a balance potion of narrative and dialogue, with what you think is the normal difficulty. I have been studying Japanese for about three years and I can read 6 or 7 grade story books, plus I have a couple of Japanese friends that I can ask for advice. If the level of the script is not too bad I can try to help. For reference, I can play Clannad and Shuffle in Japanese in relative comfort, but if it's on Tsukihime or Fate/Stay Night level then forget it.

As for my English skill, not the best out there but probably not the worst possible for translation job :D

After dressing up and talking about the school scene, the game will plays Opening movie, I believe that your system lacks some video codecs that made the movie can't be opened, you must update your video codecs to fix this :D

bad request (invalid hostname) is usually a server problem when either the server is bugged/down/or being worked on or debugged.

I took a brief look at it. I think I can translate most of the dialogue but the self-narrative is definitely gonna slaughter me though, I can't translate them properly without a visual clue yet. I think if I'll trot through the game in Japanese and see how they are in game it would be better.

Geh... this game was awesome... some proofreading is needed for the patch and a few lines were missed but nonetheless... it's awesome...

not so much proofreading more like converting japanese sentence structure into proper english structure.

The reason I decided to start learning Japanese myself because those are really bad, plus I think their translation can be misleading and shoot you on the wrong path. I prefer using dictionary and plug the word into grammar structures that I know :)

Anyway, without knowing who and who from the script I think I translated a lot of them out of context. So I decided to shoot the game and go through it a bid to understand the back story and character personality. I'm translating it again and about half way through it, so far ... not so bad ... depending on the readers :p

this is such a good game as good as majikoi whereas most other translated bored me to death
such as long description of scenery at the start..example would be Cross+Channel

anyway i would love to see an anime adaptation of this game
feels like a better version of Otoboku.

or better yet the localization of the psp version  :-X

As good as mjikoi? Pretty big overstatement. But yes the jabs at protag's masculinity or lack thereof are hilarious. Gender bending always tends to give me a good laugh. If you've only played prologue and Yukie route of majikoi you really have no idea how much better it is than koitate. Oh well it's subjective anyway, but I'm sure most would agree with me if they ever play through both fully.

What?  No Yuu route?  But I love the imouto routes... well... the game hasn't been translated yet... but I should say this game is really good even if the style feels a bit old.

I could care less about the old style when I've been spending more time playing SNES and GBA than PC titles. I only want a good story with some enjoyable characters and I hope that this delivers.

we don't have a moronic and oblivious protag, that makes it different from 90% of the highschool VN on the market.

I do like Koitate's Cgs better, though.

i am not saying that this game is on the same level as majikoi but they both entertain me nonetherless..and of course for majikoi, I've only played until yukie route since i can't read japanese.I am waiting eagerly for momo route..yukie route was meh..she isn't interesting and her little act isn't funny at all ,but well at least her H scenes are good.Not saying she is bad tho as she is one of the most original character in a VN.

He doesn't realize he has harem, I'd say he's pretty oblivious. Though he is 'pure' so I suppose I can give him benefit of the doubt. Also tends to do a lot of things that should give himself away to all of the assassins. He is far more entertaining than a lot of protags around though.

Anyway, it's true that among the VNs I've played, Koitate is just a little more than average. But I really like the writing style as well as the characters (I'm interested in Yuuri, but it's a shame that her route is the last to be translated :()   

Indeed something about Yuuri is just so awesome... maybe it's her rush attack when you ask her about her age but she is pretty awesome.

I really like Yuuri too, she's my most favorite on during the common ruote, although I start liking Yukiko once her route is set and fromrom what I see so far Ren seems to have a few cute line and scenario too, so maybe they bloom in their route. (Btw, the script you guys gave me is from Ren route right? Feel like it).

Form his point of view, it seem like hell than harem.
I like AXL's game but the newer game's story aren't as good as Koitate.

'As ladylike speech was taught to Yuuri.' my engrish interpretation. Need more context since the previous sentence didn't give me any clues.

Edit: oh it just came to me, probably ladylike speech for saying 'I need to go to the bathroom'. Incredibly subtle.

It literally means she wants to go to the toilet, but she was so embarrassed to say it directly that she used the above sentence, and maybe Shuuji (?) learnt from Yuuri that "picking flower" is a secret word among ladies.

This is just a word playing in Japanese, in my native language which is Vietnamese, we can understand its meaning perfectly if we read something like "picking flower" (our language, Chinese, Japanese and Korean is pretty the same in meaning), but I think English doesn't have that phrase so it made you confused XD

Oh so it was 'Taeko's' line.

No, only "flower" doesn't lead to that meaning in any language XD, but "picking flower" is something slang which is used to express the intention to go to the toilet in our language (Japanese and Chinese too, not so sure about Korean), and it's true that sometimes saying a sentence like "I'll go and pick a flower" can lead to misunderstanding in our language.

Hey Nanaya, I saw on the blog that Runan is the only one working on the Quarttet's translation. Well, I think I can help him with that if he needs a hand. I'm a native Vietnamese, also finished reading Quarttet. Plus, maybe oversaling myself a bit much but I also play music. ^_^

In short I'm much more confident than the previous fail Japanese Audition. If Runan needs some help taking the work load off him so he can help with Iron Maiden (which I totally love). Anyway let me know.

Well, personally I would prefer someone translate Koitate into Vietnamese :)

Yo, I'm back again, of course with some news  ;D  At the moment we have translated over 20 scenes of Ren's route (that is, only 6 more scenes to go) , and the editing phase of Yukino's route is nearly finished. As mentioned before, I hope to release the second patch at the end of December, which is X'mas Day, to be precise. Thanks for your patience with our slow progressing and updates (it can't help though, since we only have 2 lazy guys for all the work  :()

All scenes of Ren route are done. It's this time of the year again, now I just have to speed up the editing, expecting many days w/o bathing or going out, lolz.
Btw, the second patch will use "Tahoma" as the replacing font, but it has some issues with the names and choices (with the benefit of almost no linebreak, all other fonts are either too big, too small or don't display Japanese symbols) . I'm wondering whether we'll use a more thinner font "Courier New" for the third patch...

Who is Ren?

Ren is the Tomboy girl with blue hair.
about the translation itself, a lot of grammar mistakes and the words are a bit of a mess when they first appear until the whole phrase comes out ,
not sure if this is just my case.

other than that , all is good. At least we are able to play it with understanding.
