Following her graduation from middle school, Konomi Yuzuhara enters the same high school as Takāki Kono, her childhood friend. As the new school year begins, they meet their childhood friend Tamaki Kosaka, as well as many new accquaintances. Nice upload, laplacian!

I had to resist the urge to play Tama-nee's route since I found out that it had an alpha patch, but my backlog helped me resist it.

Is there any guide available for this game yet  ???

pretty keen to check out the english translation, played the chinese translation a few years ago but they censored all the h-scenes...

Don't think you really need a guide atm, depending what patch you download the other routes wont be translated, so it's fairly easy to see which choices are related to the character.

3 gb for a vn is quite big are there lots of animated scenes?

I don't think there is any animated scenes at all... it's probably the voice files?

there are quite a few routes tho, not the 3-4 routes stuff you usually get.

Its been a while since i last saw To Hearts 2, and have yet to try out this game, but i believe godgrinder is right. From what i remember there are quite a few different girls to choose from, konomi(little sister character), tamaka(big sister character), manaka(quiet library girl), karen(ufo otaku girl), ruri(alien girl), twin sisters, a tomboyish rich girl, and i think an android. Like i said its been a while, so i might be wrong on some of the names, but be forgetting a few, and its entirely possible not every single one is included in the game. But if you added all the possible good and normal routes from that many girls, not to mention bad routes(im pretty sure theres no harem route), i dont think its all that hard to get 3+gb of content.

pretty much right, the twin sisters and the android are in the same route so you get all 3 girls in that ending. there's also a time traveler girl and the student council president, so that's 9 routes all up, plus a gay ending with yuji.

too bad i was hoping for animated scenes

it works fine for me tho i havent really gotten that far. but i noticed that it translates some of the parts the solo patches didnt.

For those too lazy to read all the posts on the subbers forums.. NONE OF THE COMMON PATH IS TRANSLATED

Only parts the are translated are the parts the involve the specific girl so its more or less, its half JP half ENG. So you won't get to learn anything about the other girls but if your fine with that then go for it. I did the Tama-nee route and it all checked out. Haven't tried the other two yet tho but one of the posts mentioned that a couple of the events with Manaka were still in JP (script was translated but not entered).

Judging from the posts those waiting for a full version will probably be waiting for a long time. From the posts its pretty much being done by one person with the rare ocassional helper.

As far as a walkthough goes, you don't really need one. When it goes to the town map part just pick the girl your after, if she doesn't have an event you can choose someone else or just go to your house.

Not so entirely true. To get to the end of the Manaka route you have to talk to Yuma some amount of times. I'm not to sure how many times but if you just ignore Yuma completely while trying to get through Manaka then around May 8 or 7 you will get a different what may be the bad ending.

I'm not going to go through this game until the common path is complete.

I have a weak willpower....  Well that and being stuck in the backseat of a car for an 8 hour drive (one way...) with nothing but a laptop for entertainment.  ;)

As far as playing without the common path... well I just skipped anything not in english lol...

It depends on the game, since some can be played without the common path. If the common path is generally just the day to day life of the main character and the events with the girl/girls in question are seperate then you "can" still play the game. Most games aren't playable but every now and then its doable. Other than that with the combined patch if your only going after 1 of those 3 girls you won't be missing THAT much. Tho some events with yuma and karen (i could be wrong on names) will be in japanese.

I'll probably wait for a more finished patch before I replay the game again.

The Problem are the release dates, it's like one route per year =/ Gonna take a while till anything like an all translated alpha patch shows up.

well, cant expect much speed-wise since apparently its a one man team doing all the work

When the translator announced that he needs help to finish the project or it'll take a few more years, I was surprised that nobody has helped the guy yet.  If my Japanese was better, then I'd lend a hand, but alas...

You should edit the tag to say Partial English if it's not complete. Thanks for keeping the thread it updated though.

Yeah, there are nine routes.

whenever the game has the those full screen effects it goes really slow. it takes me like 30sec to go from main menu to options or game to the save menus.

anyone know what the problem is? how do i speed it up?


*edit* after playing around with the options i found how to speed it up. its under the middle menu toolbar button,  the second choice with 4 options top being fastest and bottom being slowest.

Decided to give it a go now that the alpha 3 patch is out but after installing the game and patch I can't get the game save/load function to work.  Anyone else having a problem with this?  Everything else seems to work fine.

Any help appreciated.

EDIT:  NVM  I got it to work after reinstalling and applying patch files.

Its around 56%.  The translator has stated that the current ETA for the game to be finished is 2013.  The reason for the slow progress is that the translator is basically by himself and he needs more translators in order to finish the project faster.

yo laplacian, I already download all of RS 1 to 17 but still I cant install the game  :'(. should I buy game first or I did I miss something?

Did you extract them? Download Winrar or 7zip and use one of them to extract from the first part (e.g. ToHeart2_XRATED.part01.rar)

Then you'll probably need to install it using the extracted ISO. Get Daemon Lites and mount the extracted file with that, then you'll be able to install it. Remember to put your PC in Japanese Locale.

After all of that, patch the game into English and play.

OK, i did instal the game and able to played it, but still i don't understand how to patch the game since i don't have locale Japanese my computer couldn't read option on game :-[, any instruction how to patch it will very helpful  :)

The patch is in a .7z file which mean you gotta download 7-Zip to use it or it won't work (Winrar will says its corrupted or something like that), inside is a folder named "2011xmaspatch", open it and drag-drop everything inside it to wherever you installed the game (C:\Program Files\Leaf\ToHeart2 XRATED by default) and then have fun.

If you get super slow transitions, click on the second menu on the top, the second option again and chose the.. second choice yet again (or the first if you want instant without any transitions)

You might also have to run the game as an Administrator if you can't save/load.

Also, the edit button exist for a reason. (or modify, never noticed it was called that on here)

Anyone know how to finish the Twin route. I have tried different combination of choices and get most of the scene (I think) but I still go to the deadend in the twinroute after the android show up.
