Danganronpa: Kirigiri

Danganronpa Kirigiri (ダンガンロンパ霧切) is a side novel written by Takekuni Kitayama which focuses on Kyoko Kirigiri and her past with Yui Samidare.

The novel was released on September 13, 2013 and was published by Seikaisha along with illustrations by Rui Komatsuzaki.

Danganronpa: Zero

Danganronpa/Zero is a light novel that serves as a prequel to Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, featuring events between Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School - Despair Arc and the game. There are two known volumes, which were written by the creator of the series, Kazutaka Kodaka.

The story revolves around an amnesiac girl named Ryōko Otonashi who is a student in Hope's Peak Academy, and the sharp-tongued Ultimate Neurologist Yasuke Matsuda, with whom she is infatuated with.

Due to her constant loss of short and long-term memories, Ryōko has very little interest in the world around her except for Yasuke, who gives her regular treatment. Yasuke, on the other hand, appears very stressed by her and the school's situation.

A month after The Tragedy of Hope's Peak Academy, the school is full of unrest and secrets, with many people attempting to find out what truly happened and who is to blame. Despite not wanting any of it, Ryōko is connected to the incident and soon gets caught up in its aftermath, learning more and more about what happened.

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc IF: The Button of Hope and the Tragic Warriors of Despair

Is a light novel written by Ryōgo Narita. It explores what would have happened if Makoto Naegi had received the Escape Button from the MonoMono Machine in the beginning of the game, which helps him slowly regain his memories.
